The only time I had to stop and go back and reread a few previous chapters was when the final plot twist came in. I couldn't put this book down and I ended up reading the entire book in one sitting because I was so engaged in the story. Men ogled and touched as I offered my body and soul to the highest bidder, and I could tell my stranger didn’t like what he saw.

Her new husband treats her as an equal, as a partner (which is more than most women in the Mafia world get). i'm gonna be totally honest here and say that i could not for the life of me follow the plotline for this novel lmao.I loved Cash but he was definitely the most frustratingly mysterious of all Sav’s MMC’s, in my opinion. In my opinion this book kind of moved a little slow for my liking and it really only picked up for me at the 70% mark.

These are two damaged people that find themselves in a marriage of convenience and have to make it work. This man literally chloroform his wife just to inject a tracker in her and to also put on that torture device of a ring. I thought that the MC should have had a convo with the MLI about some of her trauma or their relationship. her books are so easy to fall into from the first page, and i always look forward to picking them up whenever she publishes them.I love how Arianna was so concerned and worried about her past (because that’s all she knew) and Cash, after learning about some of her past, gave her the time and all of his attention.

It’s not that I’m a dark romance hater, because I read dark romances since I was too young, but this is straight up bad. you are such a strong woman and you deserve every single sliver of happiness and obsession that cash—or your readers give you. I really thought I would love Cash because he was a sexy lawyer with dirty mouth and wore glasses, and I love men with glasses, but the things this man did.he was such a hardworking man and i loved that in public he was purely professional and stony and yet with ariana he had the dirtiest mouth. to the trust they shared rooted in trauma bonding on her part, to cash's nickname for her ("little nightmare"), she both captures the essence surrounding doctor death and has her own very prominent lethal personality; a combination of juliet and riley. This exceptionally well-written novel is all about suspense, thrill and drama, including the relationships between generations and what happens between long-standing friends. The characters in this novel bring life and heart to this story, each with a distinct voice and personality. And living without even an ounce of you would've been like living without the fucking rain: completely impossible.

How much they wanted each other, how much they were into each other, their obsession and their possessive thoughts, their want to be together no matter what happens, the hurt/comfort and the super sweet moments between them, the steamy scenes and how lovely they were, the characters and how nicely developed they were and how well they fit together, and the dark romance elements were super wonderfully done, but mostly, just how good of a couple these two were and how lovely their romance was. The car scene after their wedding, the office scene (where they fuck with someone on the phone) and then the car scene when Arianna has a panic attack. where over time they KNEW what the other NEEDED, whether it was S P A C E, TIME, or each other's BACK with NO questions asked. The real horror wasn’t that he felt them, though—it’s how desperate I apparently am to hear him say it.I was so glad to finally hear her story, since promises and pomegranates I knew I was going to like her. Both of these characters are siblings of main characters from the other books, and so you start off the book already knowing a bit about their pasts.
