Description

Nintendo has been doing a lot of 3rd party branding of consoles and accessories lately. Quite a refreshing change from the past.

The right ‘Fortnite Edition’ Joy-Con sports a blue finish with an ‘F’ on its rear, while the accompanying left Joy-Con comes in yellow and has a smiley face based on Fortnite‘s Banana skin. This price cut is particularly well timed as Fortnite has just received a major update for Nintendo Switch, improving the game’s framerate as well as the in-game resolution. Heavyarms55 sounds more like an issue with your cousin and her mother saying no than an actual Fortnight issue.Has anyone else noticed why the red and blue controllers are the other way around vs the ones you get with the console? Red is on the right with console, but red is on the left when bought separate. This is handy as I'll always know which set is which but I have not seen anyone mention it? SoapMonkey because people like it. Why do some people have such a hard time accepting that their opinion doesn't shape the world? I have grey from launch and then the neon yellow. It is hard to explain just HOW bright they are until you see them in person. Pretty brilliant. I love them. I got my switch with the animal crossing joy cons and I really like those, HOWEVER, I also bought a separate pair of blue and red controllers so I could play multiplayer and the blue one drifts 🥲 Games come to life through easy-to-use motion controls and HD rumble—advanced vibration features built into each Joy‑Con. Depending on the game, you might use a single Joy‑Con in each hand—or even give the second one to a friend.

I have all of them (plus straps) except for the grey and Smash ones. I assume that the Smash ones would be read as standard grey ones by the console, again assuming that each Joy-Con only contains a single colour code which is identifiable by the console. I’m all set on the Joy Con front, but still regret not buying a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Pro Controller. E_Gadds_Garage Splatoon got one too. I think it's really they've limited it to games where the audience is most likely to want to use a Pro Controller more than Joy-Cons. For a game as vibrant and colourful as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate we have no idea why these Joy-Con are so boring to look at. Would it be churlish of us to assume that Nintendo overestimated how many people would want the standard grey Joy-Con and produced way too many of them? Yes, it looks like those lines were added at a later date to cash in on Smash – we're on to you, Nintendo! Heavyarms55 Sorry, but no, it's a parenting problem. I did read all your comments and it's the typical "free to play is the devil" argument. Truth is, there's space fot it and sure, many companies abuse this business model, but there's a reason why millions of people enjoy these games without spending a dime or at least less than the average AAA game and your cousin does. Of course a company will take as much money as you allow them. Tell me how many of them won't even without the free to play model.

You Can Now Use Joy-Cons on Steam

I'll tell you just in the case that you can't reach that conclusion yourself: people like the game, they think it's good even if it doesn't appeal to you. The same applies to Splatoon and Dark Souls, which are on our profile pictures. SoapMonkey You sound more salty asking a question (and a pretty logical one thay you should be able to answer yourself) about a game's relevance when the average person that really doesn't care about it just continues their life not asking because again, they don't care.

Honestly, Joy-Cons are a huge missed opportunity. Both themed paint jobs and different buttons like we saw in the concepts (SNES buttons + colours!) just after the Switch was announced would sell like hot cakes. If you want to add some pastel warmth to your Switch this summer, then the yellow and pink pair are the perfect partners. They make us want to sit at the beach and eat sweets out of a paper bag. Definitely, a fetching pair that'll brighten your Switch up. Pastel Purple / Pastel Green Joy-Con Kidfunkadelic83 I don't know if we need a full stop ban on it, but I really do think there needs to be more rules around the practice. Especially in the marketing toward children.

Comments

You can progress in Fortnight without spending money fairly easily. It’s not an excuse anymore than any rationale for any question of why is. I don’t spend money on Fortnight and don’t allow my kids to, and they do just fine. Due to the Joy-Cons requiring a Bluetooth connection, it's not possible to pair them with your PC unless you use Bluetooth. Other Switch controllers such as the Pro Controller do have wired connection options and so can be used on a PC without Bluetooth. Had to send my Switch in for a repair (overheating, fan sounded like a motorcycle) so I sent my left joycon with it, I'm sure it'll be fine after that.
