I've got a set as well, and also have an AGV helmet, and my g/f also has a modular helmet (boom mic) - although hers is mounted on the left side, like yours and mine. When I want to remove it from the helmet I always forget (until Jiffy-marker-ing an UP arrow) which way to push it off the helmet mount. While in intercom mode with your LEXIN they won’t be able to hear their music or their GPS audio directions.

Coming home Planet Rock and once off the A1 I could hear the music but by no means clear (again when slowing down as soon as below 50 things became clear). Where I had to McGyver things was where the wires come out of the helmet to the unit, my cheek padding needed a cutout to pas the wires. I'm able to connect B4FM-1 with my G9 mobile-1 and B4FM-2 with my G9 mobile-2, but I can't find a way so that we speak to each other (all 3 at the same time). There were a lot of cheaper options, however most have drawbacks such as complexity in setup, short battery life, noisy comms while moving, dropped connections and cheap or flimsy mounting and hardware. The one piece of motorcycle equipment/gear that didn’t give into the hazards of the elements was the LEXIN B4FM Bluetooth Headset.

Overall, we're going to stay with the Lexin intercoms, we were quite surprised how well they worked and the range was good as well. But, for those of us whose ever taken a bike for a cross-country tour, throttled through a Morocco dusty dessert trail, or thought of riding a motorcycle through a zombie apocalypse, the LEXIN B4FM headset will do what you need it to do. Especially if you ride hard in places where most tech, GPS, and cell phone connections go out the window.

I’ve tested the B4FM on an Icon Alliance helmet for sportsbike-style riding, and on a Shoei RF-SR helmet for standard cruise riding. Featuring excellent sound quality, digital noise cancellation,four-way intercom with up to a one mile range and FM radio. In the city we've seen it fade out fast just going around the block with houses in the way, but on the open road ~1 km or so apart is usually no issue. The headset's speakers are clear and loud, but the outdated technology does not allow for simultaneous use with GPS or music while in intercom mode. And features an 800 mAh battery provides up to 15 hours music or intercom talk with over one week of standby time. There are a lot of other headsets on the market that allow for a simple mute button while in intercom mode so as not to disturb music and GPS directions.

I often forget to bring it with me, so I just use my motorcycle key to slide into the key slot and dismount it. If you're like me and tend to shout loudly over exhaust pipes and road winds, you can easily pierce your buddy's ears. Then, one either of the 2 bridges, you press the intercom button and the unit will say, "scanning" and then "connected". Say if you're navigating unexplored terrain and adventuring through off-road explorations, or maybe you just need to concentrate on the racetrack with your team, the last thing you need are a bunch of fancy features to distract you. The majority of riders on the road will more than likely be using the more popular brands that provide better universal intercom compatibility. One problem with the MTS is that the tinted visor controls sit at the bottom left side of the helmet, so I had to mount the intercom on the right side instead. As supplied, the clamp did not feel super secure, so I cut a piece of foam rubber to match the contour of the helmet and act as a spacer inside the clamp.
