These wetsuits are the sleeveless and can come as a full body wetsuit or be cut off from knees. These wetsuits are better for water temperatures that are a bit warmer or for paddle sports such as Paddle Boarding or Kayaking. Paddle Boarding can be a bit more difficult to prepare for but if you use the kayaking rule of thumb: “Dress like you’re going to go into the water” it makes it a bit easier. I will say you do not have to go as extreme into wetsuit attire as surfing because you are not going to be constantly in the water. You just need something that will keep you warm if you do happen to fall in a time or two, but this is also dependant on your experience. In warm summer like conditions of 65 Degrees and over you can just wear board shorts, swimsuit and maybe a shirt if it is warm enough. When the Water temperature starts dropping below 65 degrees then it’s time to consider a wetsuit or the very least a rashguard if you are going to be close to shore. If you are looking for spot reduction from the belly region, the Eleady Best Neoprene Waist Trainer is a good sauna suit option for you. It is made of neoprene and designed for women looking to lose belly fat. You can wear it for any kind of workout – Zumba, yoga, gym, cycling, etc. It has hook and eye closure that prevents it from spontaneously opening from the mid-section (a common problem with sauna suits with a zipper). The hook system also allows you to adjust the compression according to your comfort level. The neoprene fabric increases the core temperature and keeps your body warm. It helps burn extra tummy fat by heating up your abs and burning more calories. The main reason to wear undergarments under a wetsuit is that extra layers equate to warmer bodies in cold temperatures – both above and underwater. Water enthusiasts know that the way to go is to wear a thinner layer underneath that serves as additional insulation for your body. Divers have to contend with varying temperatures during dives, so selecting the right material and undergarments are important to maintaining a comfortable body temperature throughout a dive. There are also some undergarments that provide protection against UV light and also prevent against stings, and cuts on your skin. Comfort A wetsuit provides thermal insulation by trapping a thin layer of water within your body and the suit. Made from neoprene, a synthetic rubber, the suit protects from UV exposure, abrasion, as well as bites from any aquatic organisms. That thin layer of water that enters your wetsuit keeps you warm, and your wetsuit should fit snugly but not so tight that it cuts off circulation. Why Wear Undergarments Under a Wetsuit? The Insulation Factor

Constructed with neoprene, diving shorts are extremely useful under wetsuits as they are light and act as an insulation for your body. Also, when you are wearing diving shorts, it is much easier to remove your wetsuit compared to going commando. You don’t want to just wear anything underneath, and for colder water temperatures, another option is to wear a diving short made of Lycra to provide more insulation and keep you warm. @ Kampus Production via pexels Swimwear Briefs PLEASE NOTE: Adding a zip reduces the stretch marginally so please ensure your garment is already not tight. Neoprene drysuits are warmer then their membrane cousins and are better if you like a tighter feel or are used to wearing wetsuits. These wetsuits are a bit more durable but can stretch out over time so proper care is warranted. Wetsuits are ideal for divers that dive in warmer to temperate waters. The sweet spot temperatures typically range from 50F to 90F but are also dependant on weather, climate etc. This wetsuit is a one peice but has short sleeves and the knees cut off. These wetsuits are ideal for warmer temperaturesThe Faux Fur Collar isn’t waterproof and doesn’t stretch as well as the fleece collar. It’s cut approximately 1” wider to try and allow for that, but it may not be enough in some cases.

There are many divers with varying opinions on what should be worn under a wetsuit, and there are quite a few options to consider. Some men choose to go the commando route and wear nothing underneath, while others prefer to wear a bathing suit. This is a personal preference that every man must make, but if you are new to scuba diving and snorkeling or are considering what else is out there, Outsons has laid out what’s available that you can add to your wetsuit in the future that may provide more insulation. @ Simone Venturini via pexels What Is a Wet Suit? Some people prefer to wear one or the other or both so that their movements are not restricted. Tops and Bottoms are usually a preference for water sports that require full body movements like surfing and wake surfing. They are usually worn in warmer conditions. There are many divers that wear nothing under their wetsuits, but this is sometimes painful because of the rubbing of the rubber against the skin that can lead to chafing and an overall sore feeling after hours of wear. Wearing undergarments can provide extra warmth and be that extra layer that your body may need. @@ Kampus Production via pexels Hygiene How often you surf ultimately depends of you but if the water temperature is cold year round and you love to surf chances are you will be getting more use out of it and should be getting a good quality wetsuit. Sauna suits were earlier used by athletes to lose water weight before a competition. Today, anyone can wear sauna suits. These suits produce a sauna-like atmosphere and increase body temperature. This increases core temperature. As a result, the body produces more sweat. It helps detoxify the body. When you wear a sauna suit for a workout, it helps burn more calories, aids in fast weight loss, and improves cardiovascular functions. Hannah Shine, a certified personal trainer, says, “Sauna suits are not a shortcut to weight loss, but they can be a helpful tool when used in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise routine.” Sauna suits may also improve cognitive and cardiovascular functions. You'll also want to think about where you'll wear your bodysuit. "Ask yourself if you’re buying it as a shapewear garment, or as a hero piece to be worn by itself as a top, or both," says stylist Cassandra Dittmer. The cut of the brief and length of the sleeve will impact its functionality, Dittmer adds—that is, how the bodysuit lays under your other pieces.

A swimming brief to wear under your wetsuit is another option that adds warmth and protection for water diving in warmer temperatures. Since swimwear briefs are made of lighter material, the best options to consider should ideally be made from spandex so that they are more form fitting. Speedos are minimalist and won’t affect how a wetsuit fits over them, and so are a great choice when out in the water. @ Kindel Media via pexels What is a Rash Guard? One of the most commonly asked questions of divers is probably if they wear anything under their wetsuits. By far wearing a wetsuit when doing any of these board sports is the most common because they tend to happen in temperate and warm climates and are generally not restrictive in nature. Is it acceptable that divers wear nothing underneath? How comfortable is it to dive with several layers underneath a suit? Bodysuits make building winter outfits inherently easy. Finding a style you can comfortably wear for hours on end may be more difficult. Since bodysuits hug your shape at every contour, "the key thing when you're considering the right body suit is the fabrication," Lisa Aiken, fashion director at Neiman Marcus, tells BAZAAR.com. "A dense fabric that is structured and will hold you in, in all the right places, is incredibly important." Wetsuits may be ideal for those into scuba diving, but they are not easy to slip on and off, particularly if there are no undergarments underneath. Your wetsuit ideally should be snug but not too tight so that you have flexibility while diving. Before selecting what you wear underneath a wetsuit, take into account the water of the water you are diving in, how sensitive your body is to the suit, and other factors that dictate your comfort levels.
