This is that kond of cookbook. It makes you giggle, feel comforted and of course it has great recipes. NOTES: The calories in this dessert will depend on the type of ice cream that you use. I got it because it seemed to promise easy family meals that were kid friendly. I don’t necessarily think that’s true. Recipes are fine as far as food goes. Having to toast coconut and slice a banana to decorate the top for a banana bread recipe adds a little more time to my schedule, for sure. This classic Italian dessert is perfect for days when you fancy a sweet treat after dinner, but don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking. The kid-friendly version uses hot chocolate rather than coffee. What did I like? Gorgeous food pictures anyone? I’m happy to report a ton of these recipes follow a low salt diet. There is also a ton of side notes for those that like a variation in the meals offered. The recipe itself comes with a little side story and some personalization. I bookmarked a ton of recipes to try, including the ex boyfriends goulash.
