Important Note: I realized after playing through this scenario that I misread the Channel Dread spell.

The one thing that the Heroes have going for them is that this Undead creature only has 1 Body Point. Rise of the Dread Moon may mark the end of HeroQuest’s first major narrative campaign, but there’s little signs that the publishers will slow down development on more experiences in the future. I like this new mechanic, if gives the Wizard a new unique ability, similar to the Dwarfs innate ability to disarm traps without a Trap Kit. Finally, the last reveal, a set of cards representing potions, hopefully some new potions, and some rereleases of past potions. It was less than a year and the initial "reveal" was a mock up box in the background of a video still (featured on the first page of this thread, in October last year) that fans were left to speculate over for around 4 months before there were any official comments, generally we are seeing about a 6 month window between releases, with some sort of announcement 6 months prior to each release (and micro "hero pack' released being dropped in November/December each year - with no significant prior announcements).

I would speculate that if POT was left as a Jan/Feb release it would be a great opportunity to release the alt gender hero's in a hero pack in time for Christmas. The Wizard fires off a Ball of Flame at the Assassin, but it wizzes past her head dealing no damage. Specters are "ethereal" meaning they not only can pass through solid objects (walls, furniture, closed doors, heroes) but that when attacking them you have to roll black shields instead of skulls, EXCEPT in the case of artifacts or magic spells.

Next, Ashton and Daniel from Shelfside will follow up with an exciting original quest, Knight Fall, detailing an important event that launches into motion the events that will take place in Rise of the Dread Moon.First up, Ryan from Nights Around the table will begin the day with the classic quest The Rescue of Sir Ragnar from the core HeroQuest Game System.

Their quest begins when an ominous prophecy speaks of a malevolent celestial event - the rise of the Dead Moon. Expand your hero’s arsenal with powerful new weapons, armor, and magical items, allowing you to customize your character and enhance their abilities. This fantasy game for adults and teens has limitless replayability, and you can also create your own quests and stories.

Spoiler note, this article contains a lot of spoilers, if you are avoiding those, I won't feel bad if you don't want to read it just yet. No longer able to see the Heroes, the Wraith further retreats, biding it’s time, waiting for the Heroes to come to it. cornixt wrote:Dread Moon was announced over a year before release, but I doubt they'd wait that long for the next new quest given how successful this one is.

One thing I find particularly interesting about the Mercenaries is the fact that the Cadre of the Raven’s Veil isn’t mentioned in the rules portion of the Quest Book, nor is it a part of the story at the beginning, during Mentor’s message. Includes: Quest book featuring 10 quests, 29 finely detailed miniatures, 2 mirror stands, 58 game cards, cardboard title sheet, and game guide. We do this using a variety of digital marketing networks and exchanges, advertising technologies like web beacons, pixels and cookies, in addition to technology offered by third parties such as Facebook pixel's custom audience feature. Thinking that the Wizard is an easy target, the Wraith glides through the bookcase and engages the Wizard.
