I just didn't think I'd be reading a boogeyman book that's actually about King (view spoiler) [Henry II (hide spoiler)]. Part of me wants to know what was going on through the author's mind during the writing process. Part of me is too terrified to know the truth. I still cannot picture how the LI's penis works. There was a literal sea of (view spoiler) [cum (hide spoiler)] in this book. I'm gagging thinking about it. Nobody believes he exists—not even my coven, who think I’m crazy. When the other witches threaten to bind my magic, I set up a hidden camera. Good theater boils down to one thing: a great story, told well. STALKING THE BOGEYMAN adapted and directed by Markus Potter is a gripping tale based on the true story of David Holthouse.” [25] The story is about a witch who is stalked by a monster at night. He destroys her room and steals her underwear and our poor girls is torned about it because nobody believes her that an animal of sorts is breaking into her room.

More sunlight than usual shines through my eyelids, adding to my suspicions. From the warmth on my face, he’s shredded the curtains.

Holthouse, alongside playwright Markus Potter, has created a complex, compelling piece of storytelling that could so easily have been one-dimensional and all about revenge. But there are so many other important layers to the script. They have managed to articulate all of the conflicting emotions of betrayal, pain, revenge and fear in a distinctly human way. – Theatre Now [49]

Shand, John (2018-05-28). "Stalking the Bogeyman review: Lifting the scab on a wound that won't heal". The Sydney Morning Herald . Retrieved 2019-05-29.Story of reporter who stalked and planned to murder man who raped him when he was 7 will be off-Broadway play". NY Daily News . Retrieved 23 January 2014. Grief swirls around me like a draft. It’s a culmination of the loss of my hound, the Boogie Man’s deception, and the realization that the magic I welded was never mine. This was a funny read and very light-hearted. Rest assured, there is tons of smut and as ridiculous as this book is, I enjoyed it immensely! Genzlinger, Neil (October 2014). "Stalking the Bogeyman Overview". The New York Times . Retrieved 9 December 2014. Granted, this book never took itself too seriously. It's over the top. There's a lot going on but nothing at the same time. I don't know. I read it. I haven't decided yet if I dislike Shade's work enough to stop reading despite this two-star review (I started reading another book but am not liking it so far). The writing is all over the place.

A play that demands to be seen. Grippingly intense. Astonishing performances…Ultimately this is an incredibly important play – brutal and honest but with a message of hope." [41] The featureless white walls of grandma’s guest room loom overhead, and the last vestiges of sunlight stream in from a narrow window that overlooks the gardens. Another special mention to the second love interest of our FMC , who portrayed oh so well all the real men who dont take no for an answer 😂A well-written and cleverly paced play…Powerful and precise. Thought provoking and witty piece with superb production values. A redemptive story." [38] A shattering true story – and as adapted and directed by Markus Potter the effect is viscerally powerful.” [22] AND THEN you've got Mr. Boogie Man. who is this immortal king who was cursed by his looong dead wife and has been trying to break said curse for 800+ year. Then he feels his wife's magic and- guess who he feels? you guessed it: our FMC. so he's been terrorizing her for years trying to get close enough to kill her to break that curse. oh btw, maybe you're asking, but Tori. what *is* this curse? oh boy let me tell you.
