Use a hydrating detangling spray to prevent breakage. I love the “Miracle Rescue Multitasking 10 in 1” Spray. It repairs damage, moisturized, detangles, strengthens against breakage, protects color, protects against heat, tames frizz, softens, smooths, and improves shine. I'm a busy person. I don't say this to brag about having such a full schedule — in fact, I wish I had more free time. However, I also wish I had healthier hair, which is why I'm always looking for ways to combat the heat damage that occurs from blow-drying my curls with the diffuser and using a curling iron on the fussiest parts of my hair that just won't cooperate. During Allure's Best of Beauty testing, I had the privilege of trying out about a thousand (OK, that might be a slight over-estimation, but only slight) hair treatments, and some of them assume I have the time to luxuriate in the shower or bath much longer than I do. But not the Pantene Intense Rescue Shots. These babies do the work they need to do in just one minute — and who doesn't have one minute? Hair damage can be caused by a number of different factors. Styling with straighteners, curlers and hair dryers can lead to heat damage, while colouring, perming and chemical straightening all change the structure of the hair, leading to dryness. Use a clarifying shampoo every couple of weeks. Try Pantene’s “Pure, Clean and Clarify” shampoo. It helps prevent buildup from product and environmental factors. :)

Heat styling, bleaching, colouring, sun exposure – when you take a look at our everyday hair habits it’s really no wonder that a lot of us have been left with damaged hair that needs some serious looking after. Throw out the flat iron. I found that I really did need to (literally) throw out the flat iron out because I was addicted, haha. (It looked like straw if I didn’t use it, which yes, only perpetuated the problem.) Silk. Silk, I tell you. My hair was wonderfully soft, had 10x the body, and it didn’t tangle. It bounced. And then I curled it, and it looked like supermodel hair. (Like, in my mind, for me.
