Description

The classic Henry model has two brush head settings for carpet and hard floor. Henry performs excellently on our carpets leaving them looking renewed every single time. You can tell very easily that Henry has been through our carpets once they’re done as they generally look spotless and refreshed.

If you decide Charles is the wet and dry vacuum for you, you’ll be getting a great all-in-one vacuum cleaner with plenty of bag capacity. The fact he’s also lighter than George means he’s easier to manoeuvre and carry around. The Henry range of vacuum cleaners tend to vary in dustbin capacity. The traditional models have 9L, while the wet and dry models have a 9L wet capacity but a 15L dry dirt capacity. Is it Bagless? Though the original Henry is the 3rd lightest within the Henry range, given the many benefits you get it’s well worth it. Assuming like most people you live in a house with one set of stairs or none at all then the weight of the Henry HVR160 shouldn’t present any issues. Even if you are in a house with more flights of stairs, given the length of the cord you are unlikely to have to move it around more than a few times.

Unstoppable Cleaning, Built to Last

Aside from the cordless design, it has a 6 litre capacity (which is huge for a cordless), power boost mode, and HepaFlo bags. Like other Henry models, it comes with several tools, such as a crevice nozzle and dusting brush. The bagged design also means it could be a good choice for those with allergies. A unique aero-brush is great if you have pets in the house. It provides an outstanding level of cleaning with carpets and is the perfect tool for cleaning up pet hairs, as well as those bits of pet food that don’t quite stay in the bowl and other edibles such as cat grass. A hard floor brush means it can continue cleaning on hard floor surfaces while a 10m power cable provides extensive reach. Yes, certain models are able to clean things like your drains, standing water, or any spillages in the kitchen or bathroom. The Charles and the George are both made to be wet and dry vacuum cleaners. While the George also cleans carpets and upholstery, the Charles is able to sook up spillage without exploding. I have allergies. Do Henry have a vacuum cleaner I can use? Since its original launch in the 1980s, the Henry vacuum range has been a staple of homes and offices. But as the range grows, which one is best for you?

The Henry Eco is designed with a focus to reduce energy consumption and benefit the environment. It uses 30% less energy than the standard Henry model. This is achieved through the use of a 420W motor rather than the standard 620W used across most of the other Henry range. Most of these machines have only one or two controls. An off/on switch and the cord winder. They may have a high/low setting (like the traditional Henry) and they may have a wet/dry setting (like the George). Finally, the Xtra can switch between hard floors and carpets as a special feature. Storage Another significant advantage the Charles hoover has over many of its peers is it’s 1060w motor, 70% more powerful than the original Henry and the other lighter models we’ve looked so far on the list. The Flexi crevice tool is also a useful one for hard floors, as it’s easy to squeeze into the small gaps the floorheads can’t reach. StairsThe female equivalent to Henry or also known as the female Henry Hoover, Hetty Hoover is another popular vacuum cleaner from the Henry family. A common question we see is what’s the difference between Hetty and Henry? The answer is not much at all. Apart from her appearance, Hetty is exactly the same vacuum so it’s not a case of Henry vs Hetty. The only real difference is that Hetty is pink compared to the traditional red. She also comes complete with eyelashes to add to her more feminine appearance. Hetty shares the exact same specifications as the Henry Hoover 160-11. These vacuums were originally British made exclusively, but now they have manufacturing plants all over the world. Demand grew and the Henry crossed the sea. They are a thoroughly British vacuum cleaner. Where Can I Buy Henry Vacuum Range Bags? Charles is designed to shine in the wet – and this is indeed where it has the edge over the competition. Having a vacuum which can clean up spillages is a major bonus. If you’ve ever had a big spill in your home or even had a problem with the plumbing you know exactly how difficult it can be to clean it up. Not with a Charles in the house.

In exchange for the added half a kilo over and above the original Henry, you do also get an additional 3 litres of storage capacity (9litres). In the dry it has a hefty storage capacity of 15 litres and a wide range of attachments means it can switch effortlessly between different tasks. It really is a vacuum which can rise to meet just about every challenge you can think of. The Henry XL Plus is one of the more expensive vacuums in the Henry range, but it’s still cheaper than many other cylinder vacuums. You get a good haul of attachments included in the price too, which is a bonus.

Confused by the friendly-looking vacuum range? Here’s how to tell one family member from another

The classic Henry model is equipped with 6L of cleaning capacity meaning you can go for months without ever having to think about changing out the dust bag. By selecting the correct size bag for your vacuum, it will ensure that the bag stays on correctly and it will use the full dry capacity of your vacuum. Henry’s little sister is Hetty. She comes with all the same features as Henry, but the introduction of Eco technology helps you to save the planet and your wallet at the same time. A smaller size means she’s easier to store, but a 9-litre bag capacity, means there’s plenty of dust storage room. These cleaners are similar in style, but the super-sizing of the XL Plus makes it more suited to bigger jobs, instead of the domestic duties of the original Henry. It’s not nearly as heavy as you would think for all those extras. It isn’t expensive, it doesn’t make much noise.
