I was always very fond of Teddy’s Garden and it was a popular design for many years, but we would sometimes receive calls from stitchers who liked the design but wished that it could be a similar size to some of our other birth sampler tapestry kits. Teddy’s Garden was square but most of our other new baby/young child tapestries in our Kits with Alphabets category are rectangular.

We are thrilled at how well these tapestries look together. They would be lovely to stitch as a pair! Hold on a minute, aren’t there 26 letters in the alphabet? Yes, there are – thank you for pointing that out – but in Patchwork Alphabet the ‘g’ for goldfish and ‘h’ for house are sharing a space, having a house share!

This pattern is a yarn stash buster, and you can vary the pattern and make it fun by using different colors for each square.
