If you’re struggling to create awesome video game titles, read on and discover my 4-step system to help you brainstorm unique and engaging titles for your games:

Note: You may wish to record the answers on a sheet of paper. Any "repeat answers" would be counted as a wrong answer. Get your EFL/ESL students speaking with this fun speaking game. Great to encourage fluency, revision of key vocabulary and could be used as a warmer/warm-up or ice-breaker activity. Perfect for beginner (CEFR A1 level) - elementary (CEFR A2 level) students. Coupled with brilliant illustrations, this Name 5 things speaking game is a perfect way to increase exposure to understanding a variety of different objects and people by naming them in English. It’s definitely more entertaining when played in teams. But two people can play one to one as well. How long is the timer for Name 5? What we didn’t like about Name 5 was the gameplay itself. My family isn’t big on games with timers anyway, but we soon found the roll-and-move method boring, particularly at the end of the game. Instead, we ended up completely changing the game to suit our playing style. We pretty much ditched the board entirely and converted Name 5 into an Apples to Apples/ Cards Against Humanity style card game where one person would simply take the top card and read a category out to the current player who would then try to name five items for it. If successful, they got to keep the card, and whoever had the most cards when we decided the game was over was declared the winner. Certain Name 5 categories are more open-ended than others. Certain categories are more subjective, where others are very direct and have a limited number of correct responses. This space is almost like any other, except that when a team stops at a Wild space they can read all the categories and decide which Name 5 challenge they want to take. Your team has 90 seconds (turn timer over twice) to complete all of the Name 5 Challenges on the card to win Name 5! When both players who have read the card are ready, they both announce the category to their respective teams and the teams race to be the first to Name 5 from their category.

If your team lands on a Flip Flop space, turn over a card and read the Name 5 Challenge that matches the color on the space. Name 5 is a good little party game that, with a little tweaking, can be become great. Although it’s far too easy to be thinking about this yet, I would highly recommend it for Christmas parties and family get-togethers when you need something that everyone can play together before an elderly relative suggests Candyland… Combine the Adjectives and Nouns: Now that you’ve got a list of nouns and adjectives you can combine them into one big list of awesome game names. This will allow you to make more unique and interesting games. For our pirate ship game example, we can put all of our adjectives and nouns together to form a cool and descriptive name like “The Fancy Pirate”, “The Rusty Boat” or “Dangerous Treasure”. Note : A variation to the All Play is to have each team simply shout out ONE answer to their Name 5 challenge. The first team to "Name 1" wins the round.
