I once bought a canister of gas from Blacks (probably my first mistake) and happily set off for a weekend of wild camping and Munro-bagging in Glen Ey. By the way, now it's 'done electric', Weber's next big thing is smoker grills that burn fuel pellets instead of charcoal or gas. While that chunkiness does mean you're slightly limited in how far you'd want to take it – it's not well suited to being dragged long distances, for instance – the fact remains there aren't many barbecues of this size you could pop into the boot of your car.

He has covered everything from smartphones to headphones, TV to AC and air fryers to the movies of James Bond and obscure anime. I figure that I can remove that and screw in the Cadac nut (to the right in the photo) and then use a 37mbar Propane regulator. If only cooking for 1 or two consider something else if you don't think you will make best use of the cooking area.

I also have a Cadac and would like to be able to switch between the two quickly and easily, so I bought this quick-release thing, which has two nuts, one for the Weber and one for the Cadac: https://www. There are obviously other ways of achieving the connection, but this is the one I favour and has been in use for two years. The relevant standard is EN 417, which describes non-refillable canisters including (but not limited to) screw-on ones. His current brief is everything to do with the home and kitchen, which is good because he is an excellent cook, if he says so himself.

Place your foot on the red footrest, deploy a lever underneath the barbecue, and it collapses slowly to the ground with a gentle damping action. He also has about 400 vacuum cleaners, and is possibly the UK's leading expert on cordless vacuum cleaners, despite being decidedly messy. She has tested more mattresses than her small flat can handle and will talk at length about them to anyone who shows even a passing interest, and has had to implement a one-in-one-out pillow policy for fear of getting smothered in the night. We decided on the bottled option as campinggaz do a small refillable bottle which whilst not being "the best of both worlds" was in our view a good compromise. My Q1200 now has the connection in the photo, which I've hooked up to a Calor propane tank, a high pressure hose and a 37mbar Propane regulator. As well as being perfectly cooked every time (so long as you keep an eye on the app), food done on the Pulse 1000 does seem to have a more barbecue taste to it than what you'd get from a standard electric grill.

The flexibility with the fuel options really helps make this grill portable or stationary, depending on how and where you want to use it. Webber do sell an adaptor for bottled gas which IIRC connects to 5kg patio gas bottles, not the 6kg propane you use in the caravan. The caravan doesn't have an external gas point so it needs to be a hose/connector that will connect directly to the standard propane has bottles. It's got a bright temperature display and decent control over heat – the precision is far greater than charcoal, although gas doesn't have anything to worry about. As stated before I think Weber have made a design change that makes converting for use with a larger gas bottle more difficult and or expensive. Does that mean I can't easily swap it back and forth between the small portable gas canisters and the big caravan gas bottle? I didn't realise that new versions have introduce complexities the answer to which has been posted in later posts by people with experience of the newer Weber models.

The Weber in my opinion is a fantastic addition to both our caravanning and home barbeques - go for it. The Weber Traveler runs on the kind of disposable, screw top gas canisters made by the likes of Coleman, Weber and Primus. As there's no charcoal smoke or gas canisters involved, the Pulse 1000 is much more balcony-friendly than most BBQs, although clearly, due to science, smoke and fumes will still come off your food and annoy your neighbours. A broadcaster, raconteur and public speaker, Duncan used to be on telly loads, but an unfortunate incident put a stop to that, so he now largely contents himself with telling people, "I used to be on the TV, you know.Clearly similar enough that the screw threads were somewhat compatible but different enough to be dangerous.
