Fuller and Natural Sound: Your system should be capable of producing a more immersive and realistic performance with a fuller and more natural sound. One of the biggest problems facing speaker cables is keeping the inductance low as cable conductor size increases. This is vital to reduce cable losses and prevent inaccuracies in the signal transfer process, i.e. distortion. The normal way to do this is to use a number of individually insulated conductors within the cable construction. This method is utilised to great effect in the design of the QED Genesis Silver Spiral loudspeaker cable, however this results in a product that has a very high quality sound performance, but is expensive to manufacture and can be difficult to terminate. X-TUBE with Aircore™ technology exhibits much lower self-inductance and is therefore less affected by this problem. The use of an innovative Polyethylene aircore enables a reduction in loop inductance to levels only usually achievable by using more costly and difficult to terminate cables. An "XT" version of its Silver Anniversary cable and it sounds excellent. Discreetly designed, its open and detailed presentation leaps into the foreground.' What Hi-Fi sound and Vision magazine. At low frequencies both X-Tube™ and conventional stranded/solid core speaker cables convey signals in a linear way. However, at high frequencies, X-Tube™ retains a near-linear signal transfer, whereas the conventional cable fails to conduct uniformly across the entire conductor area. The result is that X-Tube™ delivers greater fidelity across the audio spectrum which would other wise be lost in ordinary cables.

Charge Neutralisation: The burn-in process neutralizes charges in the conductors and insulation, promoting a more balanced electrical environment. Using our unique Tri-Conductor technology and Neutrik XX-14 balanced plugs, our XLR cables offer the cleanest possible sound from a specialist XLR cable, whilst also incorporating our Ferrite insulation to eliminate timing errors. The effect of this is to reduce the actual cross-sectional area of the cable at 15kHz to less than 75% of that at low frequencies. The result is induced distortion and a compromise in the performance of the cable.Triple magnet screening and 24K gold plugs makes our Performance USB A-Mini B the best in its class. In 1973 Bob Abraham and Ian Vine founded QED Audio Products and changed the way people think about hi-fi cables. By the time QED 79 strand speaker cable was launched in 1978, it wasn’t looked upon as ‘just another speaker cable’ but was instead regarded as a serious hi-fi component, making a fundamental change in the way people thought about cables. The airy freedom either system is given when hooked up with the XT25 in particular, is a delight. In terms of outright expression, drive and punch, it doesn’t always match the C-Screen, but the presentation is both subtler and more sophisticated.

In standard speaker cables at high frequencies current flow is highest at the periphery with rapidly deteriorating current density towards the centre of the conductor. We loved the more expensive XT40 for precisely the same characteristics shown by the XT25 – and that’s the mark of a manufacturer that knows its identity. Using our in house HDMI testing facility, QED have designed premium HDMI cables to suit any budget. From our flexible and slimline profile to our exceptional Reference HDMI with its BandPass filter technology to reduce Jitter to Ultra low levels OPTICAL Availability: Future Shop provides our cable burn-in service free of charge, but its availability is at our discretion. While we strive to fulfil all burn-in requests for the specified time periods, please understand that during exceptionally busy periods, we may be unable to meet the demand due to limited connections on the Nordost Vidar cable conditioning machines. At low frequencies both X-TUBE™ and conventional stranded/solid core speaker cable convey signals in a linear way. At higher frequencies X-TUBE retains a near-linear signal transfer, whereas the conventional stranded/solid core cable fails to efficiently conduct higher frequencies uniformly across the entire conductor area.Wide Bandwidth Frequencies: The conditioning affects how signals pass through the metal, enabling a wider range of frequencies to penetrate all cable layers. It speaks about an improved sense of timing as well, and there is a definite eye for accuracy alongside attention to detail about the way our system performs with these cables plugged in. Nothing is allowed to slip, with notes and percussion hit with precision and intention. It isn’t as though previous efforts have been altogether imprecise, but there is an unerring confidence about the way our speakers play here. QED offer a range of connectivity products spanning from both consumer and installation cables, wireless products and switching devices to satisfy every audio visual need.

Silver Anniversary-XT Bi-Wire has been specifically designed as the natural replacement for the multi-award winning Silver Anniversary speaker cable. combining the features of Silver Anniversary with the added enhancement of X-Tube™ technology to combat skin effect and deliver stunning detail. Even my wife, who usually looks upon my hifi interest with a gaze that ranges from rolled eyes "there there, dear" amused bafflement to downright annoyance has agreed that there is an effect. If you don’t want to meet the cost of the former, this is a cable offering the same family sound for a tighter budget, and it won’t leave you longing for the upgrade. How long does the cable have to be? I've generally found it needs to be at least 6ft (~2m), though you need what you need.
