I'm going for braided hoses where movement is needed, which is only from the inner wing to the suspension struts at the front and then a 3rd to the rear axle, the rest is to be solid pipes. The wise old gadgy in the main dealer servicing department (took some badgering of receptionist to meet him in person) said ALL cars that come back in have copper pipes fitted by preference over Kunifer (obviously using the correctly annealed piping). I've done a lot of pipes in Kunifer for various vehicles, completely piped two kit cars and a Mini all using a cheap Clarke flaring tool and not had a bit of trouble with any of them. If you know anyone local with a brake pipe tool you might be able to cut off the formed end, slide on a new union and make a new flare in situ. I know a guy with a flaring kit suitable for steel but it's vise mounted and he reckon's it can't be used under the wheel arch as it's a pain in the arse.

the correct copper pipe has a BS number and is tested to 8000PSI so it aint going to burst, yes it can work harden and crack but anything which isnt installed correctly and is moving about will work harden and crack. My point was that there are known failures with copper but not with Kunifer and Kunifer is only a few pounds more so why take the chance ! Hence my next challenge, could all of the rear fixed steel brake pipes be replaced with Kunifer having access to only a set of car ramps and axle stands? Here you can view our range of oil feed line kits, individual components and accessories suitable for use with turbo oil feed systems. I guess that leads on to, if the answer to Q1 is Yes, and the answer to Q2 is no, what should I be looking for instead? Each pipe is cut to the correct length, fitted with solid brass unions and marked clearly to indicate the correct location on the vehicle. In the past though on various sheds, I'd measure the pipe I needed with a bit of string and or took the old one off to the motor factors near me who'd cheaply make up a pipe to suit.

Welcome to the Forum of the UK's National Street Rod Association - we hope you'll find it interesting and useful. Just a little note to express my satisfaction regarding your supply of a complete brake line set for my Fiat 500. This section will grow throughout 2017 so please check back soon or send us an enquiry if you are looking for a specific kit that is not listed. I'm not sure if they were Kunifer, but back in theearly 90s, I put "copper-alloy" brake pipes (sourced from either AH Spares, or SC Carburettors) on my car and regretted it.I have heard stories of copper not being suitable but all the local motor factors only sell copper and I've seen copper pipes fitted by garages. Over time stainless steel brake pipes may face corrosion and need replacement, and rubber pipes may be cheap but are also prone to break.
