A beeswax-based shoe polish makes it possible for us to care for our leather shoes in a natural way. If you need a measurement to start with you can use 1/8 cup of beeswax and 1/8 cup of coconut butter. The oil and butter moisturise the leather, carnauba adds shine and the beeswax (among other things) add protection and seal. Experiment with them and never spend a cent on commercial chemicals that are designed to wear off quickly, forcing you to re-apply often and spend more money. Of course, as with anything else, any product pre-treated with beeswax will lose its water-resistant properties over time, but there are plenty of products on the market you can use to reproof your garment.

I’m really no good at sizes and thought this must be about a shoe polish size but actually it’s a Vaseline mini tin size but that’s my fault and what you get it rich, nutritious feeling and smells nice. Evidence of its use is traced back as far as ancient Egypt, where beeswax figurines have been found in tombs.Parr's beeswax polish is only suitable for leather and do not recommend using on suede or unsealed leather(aniline). Our special formulation combines beeswax with other special ingredients that enhance the benefits of beeswax on leather. T1-grade natural carnauba wax known as the 'queen of waxes' because it is the hardest of all the natural waxes. It also has a pleasant, light scent, unlike some of the competitor's products, which rely on linseed.

This is one of the best I’ve come across – use a decent sized dab on a cloth and circle it into your leather sofa, jackets, trousers and so on. our leather polish has the highest concentration of natural beeswax so you won’t need to reapply often. One of the beauties of using beeswax leather conditioner is that it does not require a lot of it to get the job done. Usually, these proofers consist of a mixture of beeswax and paraffin, so they’re not at all harmful to your health.Secondly, feeding and conditioning the leather, making it much softer, with a luxurious soft satin finish.

We are also proud to say that our leather balm packaging is environmentally friendly in a fully recyclable and reusable tin. They ended up being pretty costly, but more so, they didn't last very long and contained chemicals that seemed counter intuitive to traditional craft. Beeswax was the first fine wood finish in the time of the Pharaohs, and it’s just as beautiful now as it was then. For hundreds of years, artisans have understood the power of using beeswax for leather cleaning and conditioning. we only use natural oils and beeswax from real bees, so no toxic ingredients that are bad for you and the environment.

No matter what type of leather item you’re looking to protect, Clapham’s Beeswax Leather Dressing is a powerful beeswax leather care product you should have in your home. If you live in a cold house you may want to warm the tin/wax slightly before using as its relatively hard. Sometimes we spend so much money on commercial products that don’t work any better than our homemade DIY products. may not seem like a lot but a little goes a long way, the manufacturer reckons a single tin could do 10 couches or 25 leather jackets or 250 pairs of shoes. What I appreciated the most was being able to use the wax without worrying about getting any toxic chemicals onto my skin and therefore absorbing them into my body. As aluminium is resistant to corrosion, these tins are suitable for holding water-based products, and are perfect for wax or balm.If you're not sure if it will work, I recommend trying a tiny bit on a hidden area before using it on the whole piece. Let’s take a look at beeswax for leather care, including beeswax for leather bags, leather gloves and waterproofing boots. Ideal for full leather footwear that is regularly exposed to wet conditions, not suitable for dress footwear.
