Its sculpting most closely followed the six-foot studio model's design while its paint applications approximated the four-foot studio model's on-screen appearance.

Hero Collector Launches New BUILD THE ENTERPRISE-D

Working internal lights that match the original studio model, illuminating the ship's windows, engines, navigation lights, and main deflector I’m still having some texture problems, mostly having to do with known .fbx problems. For example, the layered textures (“NCC-1701 D” etc.) aren’t masking right; it’s just because .fbx doesn’t properly translate the alpha channel infro from the .c4d file. Also, the depth of the bump-maps is way off (at least, it doesn’t look the way it does in your excellent renders here); that’s something I should be able to fix myself without too much trouble. (The lights are too bright, too; same remarks. Judging by your renders its a translation issue). The Enterprise was so dear to Worf that, shortly after being reassigned to Deep Space 9 in 2372, he briefly considered resigning from Starfleet. Station commander Captain Benjamin Sisko expressed regret on the loss of the Enterprise and offered his condolences over the destruction of the ship to Worf, saying the Enterprise "was a good ship." ( DS9: " The Way of the Warrior")Captain Picard's belief that the Enterprise-D would not be the final ship to bear the name was borne out with the christening of the Sovereign-class USS Enterprise-E in 2372. In that instance, the legacy of the Enterprise continued with Picard reprising his role as CO and selecting most of the former crew from the Enterprise-D, with the notable exception of Worf due to his most recent assignment to DS9.

In another alternate timeline, following the disappearance of the USS Enterprise-C, and the destruction of the Klingon outpost at Narendra III, relations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire deteriorated into war. Acquiring the assistance of James T. Kirk, Picard was able to return to a point before Soran launched his weapon and prevent the destruction of the Veridian star, sparing the lives aboard the saucer section of the Enterprise-D at the same time. ( Star Trek Generations)In Stage 9’s visualization, the ramp became a small staircase flanked by relief sculptures of previous ships named Enterprise. These were initially mounted on the wall of the observation lounge but disappeared between the fourth and the fifth seasons. Cetacean Ops These are not resin moulds or cast plastic there are 1st generation prototyping models taken from a 3d file and printed out: using SLA and FDM printing technology. The Chronicle Collectibles replica of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D is a true 1/1000th representation of that legendary ship. Lovingly recreated using a combination of fiberglass, aluminum, and resin, the Enterprise-D stands at an impressive two feet in length. Engines, deflector dish, and windows are all faithfully lit with an array of LEDs. Soon afterwards, the USS Titan-A was rechristened the USS Enterprise-G in honor of the Enterprise-D and the heroic actions of her command crew. ( PIC: " The Last Generation")

Knowing the bridge would need to match up with the exterior design, Probert pinned up a "what if?" painting he'd made shortly after finalizing the Enterprise redesign for 1979's Star Trek: The Motion Picture as a referent. [13] Unbeknownst to Probert, story editor David Gerrold took the image to a producers meeting. [14] The producers liked the design and directed Probert to make it the basis for the new vessel. [15] The sleeker lines and rounded contours that informed the interior design also influenced the exterior. [13] The ship's many windows are meant to allow the crew to be in touch with their environment. [13] NOTE: All of the textures were created by me. They are "Fan Art" for sure, but they aren't stolen :) The Enterprise-D served as the setting for a late-24th century version of the Kobayashi Maru scenario among the USS Protostar's training programs. In 2383, Dal R'El attempted the scenario numerous times before learning its lesson. ( PRO: " Kobayashi") The 1:916-scale model was designed as an amalgam of a number of the USS Enterprise-D studio models that appeared in TNG episodes and on film.Whereas Captain Kirk led a five-year mission, the new crew would be outfitted for a mission of at least 10 years. [5] To sustain such a journey, the new vessel would be twice as long, eight times the volume, and include the crew's families. [5] Roddenberry also wanted the ship to depict an improved quality of life for its crew: it would be brighter, less militaristic, and have sleeker and more refined interfaces than the original Enterprise. [6] He wanted the Enterprise to convey a harmony between science and quality of life. [7]
