I’m a beginner at this vinyl thing when it comes to assessing records but this sounds really good to my ears. Here, they're no longer so self-conscious and it's easy to remember why you liked them enough in the first place to stick with them through the hard times. His full length debut on Daptone Records is equal parts raw feeling and elegance and exudes confidence and charm.It's hard to think of any other act whose music being added to digital streaming sites would make as many headlines as De La Soul. aka De La Soul, formed in Long Island, New York in high school, and they soon caught the attention of producer Prince Paul. Feet High and Rising was De La Soul's first release and a very influential album, held in similarly high regard as Criminal Minded, which is discussed at the beginning of the album. The reason why we cant get a reissue is the conflict between De La and Tommy Boy for the past 10 years at least.
