Description

Its small, compact and stylish design makes it suitable for use in any room, cupboard or small space. Of course, with the cost of living and climate crisis, it's important to take into account the energy usage of any home appliance, and you'll likely be wondering how much a dehumidifier costs to run.

Fortunately, I had the foresight to place the dehumidifier in a 2" deep tray which collected the overflow from the tank. As its moisture extraction rate maxes out at 500ml per day, and its water tank holds just 1500ml, it's worth noting that this dehumidifier may not be suitable for tackling severe damp issues or larger rooms.

The top of the water tank is fully detachable providing a quick and easy way to empty and clean the tank. It has a tray capacity of 900ml, and the clear design means you can see when the water needs to be emptied.

Interestingly, ProBreeze measures this units noise levels as 40dB – fairly high compared to many dehumidifiers we've tested – however, it's the type of noise as well as the volume that dictates how intrusive an appliance's noise is, and I found the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini dehumidifier particularly quiet in comparison to most. We tested it by leaving it next to our old double-glazed windows, which are prone to condensation, and also in the bathroom, and we were shocked by how much water it collected in a short space of time. Pro Breeze 1500ml Portable Dehumidifier review: can this compact dehumidifier make a difference in your home? One thing we really love is the inclusion of a timer, so, when it’s running in the bedroom, it can be timed to switch off just before bedtime and then start back up again in the morning. Not only did that make me feel better because it was more environmentally friendly, but it also saved a trip to the tip as everything fitted into the household recycling bag. These are perfect to remove allergens and contaminants from the air and create a healthier home environment. Thanks to its Peltier condenser, the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini dehumidifier is also really quiet compared to most compressor or desiccant dehumidifiers. Some Mumsnetters have been so impressed with the machine’s performance, that they bought several to dot around the home. Reducing humidity helps eradicate mites and prevents airborne triggers, improving the quality of air around you.

As such operation couldn't be easier, however, I did miss having a little more functionality during testing. It utilises advanced peltier technology which is not only extremely energy efficient but whisper quiet too, allowing you to run it all day and night without any loud or disturbing noises. Not only that, a good dehumidifier will reduce dust and allergens in the air, as well as help minimise any odours. The 600ml water tank is the right size for the amount of water that’s extracted and means it won’t have to be emptied often. It did a great job of helping to speed up the amount of time it took for our clothes to dry, which is super handy in the winter months when the washing line is out of action. Remove excess moisture from your indoor spaces to keep unwanted issues like dampness and mould at bay with our range of dehumidifiers. The ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier is a very basic design, but if you'd rather not faff around with multiple functions and Wi-Fi connectivity then that might be part of its appeal. It only has a small extraction rate of 350ml per day, so this isn’t going to work very well if you’ve got a serious damp issue. If you're looking for something that will tackle bad cases of damp and condensation, then you'll want to consider a compressor or desiccant dehumidifier.

It has an automatic shut-off feature that will kick in once the water tank is full, so you won’t have to worry about leaks. These are a good choice to boost the heat in your home and many give you the option of using a striking flame effect without the heat too. It’s very quiet – you’ll barely notice it’s on, especially if you have it in a family area where there’s other noise going on.

The ProBreeze 1500ml Mini dehumidifier is a fantastic choice for getting rid of excess moisture in small areas.
