The transition to more is abrupt but adds that oomph to the story right when it began to lag for me. However, I won't deny my patience was starting to thin a bit at Axton's understandable fear. There's painful longing on Axton's part but his nature won't let him dwell on it. He's one of the most realistic werewolves I've ever read in his behavior, his thoughts and his reactions *at least as I would think of a werewolf, anyway* and Axton always has to work hard to hide that.
