I am using PEQ (PK) as from my experience the definition is more consistent across different DSP/platform implementations than shelves. they have a 6XX model, which is exactly like HD650 except for the colour and shorter cable with 3.5 connector. Please take my word on it, this last issue is so annoying that I'd buy an HD650 if the 6XX suffered from it as well.The sound of the HD 58X Jubilee is wonderfully warm and open, with a natural and flat response that enables the music to shine through. The sound is similar to Sennheiser’s HD 600 but with a closer soundstage that’s not too wide. The bass is clean and extended but never ventures into being overblown. The upper midrange is perfectly clean thanks to the close-matched drivers and the result is a focused and smooth treble response. I loved the level of detail that these headphones can extract from the music. They’re incredibly relaxing to listen to with a superbly fresh and open feel. Whatever Sennheiser did to make the bass work as well as it does on the HD58X, has also sacrificed the best aspects of the HD6X0. I'm not sure if this is a driver issue, a tuning issue or a combination of both. Only when efficiency numbers are given in dB/mW but when sensitivity is listed in dB/V it does not matter.
