MacKenzie, if you are going on holiday your travel cot with extra mattress may be a safer option than any cot that would be provided to you whilst there, we have been on holiday with DS1 three times while he needed a cot, first time got a great cot, second time the bars were obviously too far apart and third time didn't get a cot at all, even although we had booked one (thankfully DS1 was older by then and used to sleeping in a bed we had just thought that he would be safer in a strange place in a cot). Compact provides a fuss free solution to keeping your child comfortable and safe at home or on the road. I have the same travel cot and have a travel cot mattress from mothercare, its not like a normal mattress more like a mattress topper its quite thin but she seems comfortable. At the risk of saying the obvious, the Graco Compact would not be the cot to take for backpacking and hiking holidays. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

My son (18 months) has never minded the thin travel cot mattress and always slept well - could you perhaps have a trial run one night before you go away to see if your ds is comfortable enough with the standard mattress? Designed to help you keep your child comfortable, safe and relaxed, this travel cot is suitable from birth to 3 years old. A travel cot is an essential baby and toddler item, especially at this time of year when many of us are heading off to stay with family and friends. Anyway, it folds down to rather like a small gold bag shape/size and it has wheels and two handles so you can pull it along. The mattress is produced with 100% graded chemical free foam, high resilience foam that acts as an insert into a breathable yet water repellent.

The mattress pad is also quite hard – as is the case with most travel cots to be fair – and more sensitive babies, like my 15-month-old Joshua who has a bad case of the Princess and the Pea, may need extra blankets laid down to soften their landing. I made a cover for the foam out of a double bed sheet, I also used another sheet tucked under the foam. Oh no, I never meant to make anyone worry, more just explaining why the mattress was so thin and that the Graco would not be any different to another travel cot in this regard. But dd2 is definitely on the long/tall size so it wasn't suitable for her for more than 18ms max as she wasn't comfy in it.Please tick if you would like to receive news, offers and information from our trusted and carefully selected partners that we think you might like. If you don’t take along a decent travel cot you’ll wish you’d stayed home with your baby in their normal cot.
