So, time to talk about one of the biggest features and selling points for this brush, the app and Bluetooth connectivity. It looks and feels good. If you’re not bothered with the whole idea of apps and smart toothbrushes, then the iO Series 3 is amazing value and, arguably, the best brush in Oral-B’s whole range. In practice, that means a quieter brush with a more comfortable vibration, and one that still leaves your incisors feeling polished and your molars super-clean, as well as doing a fantastic job of clearing plaque from between your teeth. The Oral-B Smart 6 6000 now comes with a premium travel case similar to the one on the Oral-B Genius 8000. It is a fantastic travel case that is made from soft touch plastic. It provides good protection for your Smart 6 6000 on your travels and is small enough to easily fit into your hand luggage. You don’t have to use the app at all if you don’t want to. Even if you do, you don’t have to use it all the time; the brush itself can store the data for up to 20 cleans. It might sound silly, but think about it, if you take care of your body, it will often take care of you.

2) Mechanism of action – Oral-B Smart 6 6000 Electric Toothbrush Review

The Oral-B range all use the 3D oscillating and rotating movement which claims to remove up to 100% more plaque vs a manual toothbrush. Personally I think this could be exaggerating slightly however there is definitely evidence that electric toothbrushes do clean better than manual toothbrushes. The figure though is closer to 21% over a 3 month period. This is definitely an improvement so would still recommend getting an electric toothbrush with 3D oscillating rotating motion.
