The Twin Major Elite Special Needs Pushchair is custom-designed for two children who may have a disability such as a physical, behavioural or other condition which require them to be transported in a pushchair. The ‘double’ buggy is made up of two single Maclaren Major Elite strollers plus a set of our Specialist Buggy Flexi-Connectors designed by us here at Freedom for Kids. With our unique buggy to buggy connectors, it is now possible for you to get out of house with both children on your own! This combination offers an interim solution that may last for a few years as your children transition from a standard sized pushchair. If they continue to require a pushchair after the age of 7-8 years old (or if younger, they are tall / heavy for their age), then we have larger single and double pushchairs that are suitable for children up to 18 years old and beyond. PLEASE NOTE WE RECOMMEND THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT CAPACITY ON EACH BUGGY WHEN USED AS A DOUBLE IS 30KG PER PUSHCHAIR, WHEN USED AS TWO SINGLES IT IS 50KG

The single pushchairs can be used to transport children from around 1 year old to approx. 8-9 years old depending on the child/children’s disabilities (max weight 50kg as a single). As a ‘double’ we would recommend that the max. weight capacity is 30kg per buggy (approx. age 7-8), this will allow you to be able to push and manoeuvere the strollers. Please note: if the child is heavier than this or parent/carer has any medical issues which affect strength or their ability to push and turn, then it may be more difficult to manoeuvre these strollers – please ask us for advice or alternative options.
