The rectangle card version of the game I created a template for has cards that are about 1 inch by 1 1/2 inch rectangles. How many characters are in guess who?

After you make your guess your opponent must tell you whether or not your guess is correct. If you’re right, you win the game! If it’s wrong, you lose! In response to Hasbro's statement, the child's mother said that she thought identifying physical differences was "the whole point" of the game, [5] and asked "Why is female gender regarded as a 'characteristic', while male gender is not?" [6] The New Statesman criticized the "tone-deafness" of Hasbro's remarks. [4] [7] Blogger Avital Norman Nathman suggested that the decision to include five women in the game may not have been a conscious choice, and that this was a problem in itself. [7] Modern commentators have noted a bias toward white and male characters in Guess Who. In 2012, a six-year-old girl wrote to Hasbro asking why there were only five female characters to choose from, against nineteen male. Hasbro's response noted that each characteristic in the game – such as wearing glasses, or having red hair [4] – was based on a numerical equation, and deliberately appeared exactly five times. The company wrote that the game was intended to "draw attention away from using gender or ethnicity as the focal point, and to concentrate on those things that we all have in common, rather than focus on our differences". [5]

If your opponent answers no, you know now that what you asked about doesn’t apply to their mystery character. You will turn over every Face card that matches what you asked about. For their first question this player asked if the other player’s Mystery character is a man. The other player has the Amy card so they answer no. This player will flip over all of the cards with men pictured on them. For their second question this player asked if the person has brown eyes. As Amy has brown eyes, the other player answers yes. The blue player will flip over all of the cards with people who don’t have brown eyes. Each question must have either a “yes” or “no” answer. For example, you may ask: “does your person wear glasses?” Your opponent must then answer “yes” or “no”. For best results, save the image to your computer before printing. I find it easiest to drag and drop the image to my desktop.

This is one of the main reasons why I was disappointed with the Guess Who? Card Game doing nothing to actually change the gameplay. While I like the Guess Who? gameplay in theory, it has issues. I was really hoping for a game that finally found a way to fix some of the game’s problems. Unfortunately this was not the case when it comes to the Guess Who? Card Game. The game has the same issues as the original game, and in some ways introduces some of its own. I am not entirely sure how you could fix some of Guess Who?’s problems, but I wish I could find a game that would. I was a big fan of the game when I was a kid, and I think it has the framework to still be a good game. Something needs to be changed/tweaked for that to happen though.

Popular belief is that a binary search is the most efficient approach to the game, where each question halves the number of possible identities. [2] This can be applied by asking complex questions - such as "Does your character have red hair, or glasses, or a big nose?" - where a yes or a no eliminates exactly half of the remaining characters. [3] Such a strategy takes only four questions to reduce the field to three people, giving the fifth question a 50/50 chance of identifying the opponent's character. While the gameplay is exactly the same as the original game, there are a few things that do differ. Probably the biggest change comes with the characters included with the game. I will be honest and say that I haven’t played any of the newer versions of the original game. I am mostly familiar with the late 1980’s early 1990’s version of the game, as that is the one I played as a kid. The characters included with the game have changed over time. The original game is criticized for the fact that there was little diversity in the game. The original game only had six women/girls in the game, and only one character that wasn’t white. I am guessing that this has been fixed in newer versions of the game.
