Description

All products are covered by a manufacturer guarantee covering manufacturing defects and breakdowns due to faulty components. Guarantees are limited to domestic use only and excludes consumable items such as belts and needles as well as misuse or accidental damage. New sensors inside Cricut Explore 3 measure your material before cutting to ensure there is enough for your project. If more material is needed, our Design Space™ app will prompt you to load more. There are also material guides on the front and inside of the machine to keep your materials aligned from start to finish. Aworldof creative possibilities Don’t worry—this machine cuts wirelessly even if it doesn’t specifically say so in the machine name! In the Cricut Explore 3 Box I don’t have the Cricut Explore 3 to test yet, but I cut the same file (Cricut Design Space #M910B84D) on my Cricut Maker and my Cricut Maker 3 to show the difference in speed. The Cricut Explore 3 should be similarly faster. If this is your *first* Cricut, then I also recommend getting one of the newer machines. They have all of the same features as the older machines, but you also get the upgraded features of faster cutting and matless Smart Materials.

A handy expanded storage cup can be accessed when you open up the machine and offers plenty of room for all your tools Yes! You can use smart materials on a mat like you would regular vinyl, iron on, or paper. This is particularly helpful if you have offcuts of Smart Materials that are no longer wide enough to be cut matless. Don’t worry—that extra material doesn’t have to go to waste! Can I Use Smart Materials with Other Cricut Machines? Increased cutting speed – Being able to cut Smart Materials at 2 x the speed of previous Explore models is a great upgrade. When purchasing a Cricut Explore 3, you’ll find that most places will offer the machine on its own or as part of a ‘bundle’ deal where you can get the machine plus a selection of other related items and tools. These bundles can be a great value way to get started with a Cricut, especially if you are brand new to using the machines. Plus, the Cricut Explore 3's cutting speed is dramatically faster when using the Smart Materials, easily twice as fast. The Cricut Explore 3 allows you to print-then-cut on white or colored materials, whereas you can only print-then-cut on white materials with the Explore Air 2. Cricut Explore Air 2 vs. Cricut Explore 3: Wider projects?

When it comes to faster cutting times, the Cricut Explore 3 is outstanding. When using Smart Materials this machine cuts up to two times faster. This is a noticeable difference for anyone who has used the older Cricut machines. It’s also very quiet when it’s cutting, so you won’t have to worry about disturbing anyone if you're a late-night crafter. Prior to having Smart Materials and Matless Cutting, crafters have always been restricted to a maximum design size on Design Space of 30.5cm x 60cm (12” x 24”). With Smart Materials, you can cut designs that are much longer and avoid the issues that mats would sometimes cause with intricate cuts. So Hobbycraft price matching is all a bit of a con - T&C's below - It's what they don't say that's important though... Forget Hobbycraft price matching!

The Cricut Explore 3 offers endless possibilities for crafters at all levels. It’s a good mid-level cutting machine that does a lot of the same things the more expensive Cricut Maker 3 is capable of; the only limitations being on the number of materials it cuts and the amount of tools it’s compatible with. Other than that, Cricut Explore 3 is the basically same as a Cricut Explore Air 2, so everything you can do with your Cricut Explore Air 2 you can also do with this new machine. All of the same tools, mats, blades, and accessories work, so you don’t have to worry about also upgrading everything if you decide you want a Cricut Explore Air 2! Although the Cricut Explore 3 is around the same size and shape as the Cricut Explore Air 2, the design has been tweaked to make this machine easier than ever to operate. Cricut Design Space will walk you through the set-up process and also take you through a small sample project to show you all the features of your new machine

BUT don’t worry—support for Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore isn’t going anywhere. Because these new machines are within the same “ecosystem” as the original machines (meaning they use the same mats, blades, tools, and accessories as the Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore Air 2), support for these machines will still be readily available. Should I Upgrade to the Cricut Explore 3? If you are happy with your current machine, you don’t necessarily need to upgrade at this time. Like you would with a phone or other device, you sort of know when it’s time to upgrade. And when you do, I definitely recommend one of the two new machines, depending on your needs. You can see my Cricut Machine Comparison that is now updated with all of these new machines, in case you need help deciding which machine is for you. Cricut Explore 3's ability to use Smart Materials and its faster, quieter cutting means this machine feels fresh (Image credit: Rachael Phillis) Range of materials – The Cricut Explore 3 is compatible with a great range of 100+ materials, but that doesn't quite match up to the 300+ that the Cricut Maker 3 can handle. I’m going to go into all the details below, but here are the two primary ways the Cricut Explore 3 differs from the other Cricut Explore machines (including Cricut Explore, Cricut Explore One, Cricut Explore Air, and Cricut Explore Air 2):Whether you’re crafting iron-on custom clothing, personalising accessories and décor with vinyl decals or designing the perfect gift, this dream machine will get your projects done in record time. The Cricut Explore 3 cuts two times faster than the Cricut Explore 2’s fast mode (up to 8 inches per second) when using Smart Materials. This is my best guess. In the short term, these new machines will be sold alongside the original Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore machines because it takes a long time to get through inventory. But after a while, you’ll probably start to see the older machines being replaced with these new machines on store shelves and online.

If you are a serious crafter, have a crafting business or online storefront, or plan to do so, the Maker 3 is the way to go. You can do more with the Maker 3 than you can with the other machines, as you'd expect from the heftier price point. Unique to the Maker line is the ability to cut leather, matboard, and basswood. Set yourself up for DIY success with the all-new Cricut Explore 3 machine, plus the widest variety of Smart Materials and tools to make all your creative dreams come true. In addition to the machines, Cricut is also launching the Cricut Roll Holder, which makes using the long materials even easier. It holds up to a 75′ roll of Smart Vinyl, has a built-in material trimmer, works with both Cricut Explore 3 and Cricut Maker 3. It is not compatible with older machines. Pfaff & Viking Husqvarna - 2 years parts and labour, 5 years parts guarantee (Excluding 140s and 160s, E10 and E20 models). Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. You may have noticed that the “Air” got dropped between the Cricut Explore Air 2 and the Cricut Explore 3. The word “Air” was originally added because it showed that the machine had Bluetooth (wireless) capability compared to the original Cricut Explore. But because all machines are Bluetooth now, they dropped the Air. The design has been smoothed our and brought in line with newer Cricut machines, such as the Cricut Maker 3 (Image credit: Rachael Phillips) Cricut Explore 3 cuts at up to 8 inches per second, vs. the Cricut Explore Air 2’s 4 inches per second. To get a little technical, this 8 inches per second cutting speed is on both the X and Y axis, meaning that the cutting speed is also faster than competitor machines. I’ll be doing a comparison on that soon too, so be on the lookout! Cricut Explore 3 can cut big banners or create an entire solar system of stars – the sky is the limit! With Smart Materials no mat is needed – just load & go. GolongwithCricutSmart Vinyl! It comes in both permanent and removable varieties. It also comes in a wide array of colors, effects, and material lengths from 3 ft (0.9 m) to 75 ft (22.9 m)!
