Chivas Regal Extra 13 Sherry Cask Selection is a rich yet sweet whisky that adds a deeper layer of flavour to the luxurious Chivas house style. The Chivas Extra 13 range adds an extra cask selective maturation or finish to the whisky making process.

Our expert blending team add a portion of our Scotch into a cask that previously held bourbon, which enhances the honeyed flavours already present in our blend. Some say that the cherry taste is not their favorite, but they appreciate the smooth, rich flavours. The flavour of the signature malt comes through as a fruity, apple tone, while the fairly high grain content of the whisky adds a honeyed sweetness. In honour of the Japanese art of whisky making, Mizunara, a rare and unique oak from Japan, has been used to mature some of this exclusive blend.

Our Scotch is aged for 13 years in the cask, then spends additional time in another cask (such as bourbon or rye) to bring a new world of flavour to the blend. Back in the 19th century, John and James Chivas refused to settle, always pushing the boundaries of what was expected. Smooth whisky has always been our thing; but finishing whisky this way takes it to another level for an extraordinarily palatable whisky drinking experience. Aged for 13 years, this blended Scotch whisky is selectively matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks for an extra rich and intense flavour.
