After months away, Wilde has returned to the Ramapo Mountains in the wake of a failed bid at domesticity that confirms what he's known all along: He belongs on his own, free from the comforts and constraints of modern life. Will there be a Wilde book #3? Will the “vile man” show up in it? And will all this DNA finally be explained once and for all? There is a reason why Harlan Coben is one of my most trusted and favourite authors. His books are always clever and full of twists that keep you guessing right until the very end. A rainy day in Sydney saw me curl up and get lost in Wilde's world and I loved every minute of it. This is the second book in the 'Wilde' series, featuring the former 'feral boy' who lived alone in the woods as a child. Though the novel is a sequel, Coben provides enough information to read the book as a standalone. When an adored nun is then found murdered and a mysterious man—who was tailing Matt—turns up dead, all indications point to an ex-con who already served a sentence for a murder.

Reluctant at first, Myron undertakes to help her not just to become her agent, but because he realizes that they have tie from the past that binds them together. Horace, Brenda’s father, coached Myron during his heydays in basketball, although the two lost touch after Myron's career tragically ended following a nasty knee injury. Harlan Coben rarely writes a believable story. And The Match is anything but. Yet…I found myself totally engaged in this crazy story and couldn’t wait to see how it would play out.Hester and Oren are still a couple. Hester states she is much too old to say she has a boyfriend but is fine with Oren being her beau!

Coben is a Master of thrillers and so can afford to be indulgent in his writing and he is but this coupled with the afore mentioned sometimes confusing storyline led to a good read rather than one of his brilliant reads, he is such a legend though and commands such loyalty from readers including me that when his next book appears I will be as keen to read it as ever Reporter Wendy Tynes is on a mission to identify and bring down sexual predators through highly televised sting operations. Wendy and her team, with the help of the local police, have publicly shamed dozens of men through her news program “Caught in the Act”. This is the second book with MMC 'Wilde' and whilst I'd read the first, I don't recall it clearly because it was ages ago so this could be read as a standalone for sure. The story gets bogged down mixing up DNA, reality TV and cyber bullying all in one melting pot of a story. Myron Bolitar, the main character in the series, is a former basketball player turned sports agent.Wilde then tries to get in touch with Peter Bennett, who appears to be missing. Bennett's siblings fear he may have committed suicide because Peter's reality career - which began on a dating game that led to marriage - hit a giant snag, and Peter's been tormented and doxxed by trolls ever since. Just when it seems as though things can’t possibly get any worse than they already have, Marc receives a ransom note with a chilling message: Silas and Peter are uncle and nephew. I don’t understand how Silas and Wilde are related. Or who Wilde is related to. Let’s discuss this in the comments. The story starts when Wilde has found a DNA match to his father. But his father was unaware of his existence. Next, he finds a link to a second cousin. A man who has gone missing. Of course, Wilde becomes engaged in searching for this man, who was a reality star before being brought down and haunted by social media trolls. And then there’s a group of vigilantes who expose those trolls. But now both some of the trolls and the vigilantes are dying.
