It is astonishing, when you think about it, how quickly women’s fantasies have been incorporated into our universal understanding of woman. We should value our erotic reveries no less seriously, because they are the complex expressions of what we consciously desire and unconsciously fear. And so women have become more serious about their work, mothering is once again in vogue, and the nervous issue of sexuality is not discussed.
