These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. Pause for a moments contemplation beside the historic carp pond, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, and the graves of our forbearers. A stroll round Arreton Barns encompasses the 12th Century Church of St George, with its famous Burma Star window. Held in Feb 2024, caravans, motorhomes, campervans, holiday homes, lodges, tents, boats and accessories all in one destination. The on-site pub, The Dairyman’s Daughter, is named after Elizabeth Wallbridge, a local girl who died in 1801 and was made famous in the contemporary book ‘Annals of the Poor’, who is now buried in the graveyard.

They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example. Tents, Caravans, Motorhomes, small Campervans are accepted at Dairymans Daughter Cottage Certificated Site in Arreton, and electric hookups are available.This is a Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site, which accept caravans or motorhomes and usually tents. We are experiencing high volumes of reviews at the moment, and it is taking some time for them to be moderated but please be assured they will be reviewed as soon as possible.

Arreton Barns comprises many of the buildings, features and artefacts of a traditional English village from many years ago. The ancient village of Arreton, settled over 1000 years ago, is set in the traditional and geographical heart of the Island, and offers the visitor a glimpse into the past.
