When you think about colors, you need to break them down into two categories: warm and cool. Reds, oranges, and yellows are warm colors while blues, purples, and greens are cool. To identify a hair color that would positively accentuate your features, you first need to know what your skin undertone is. This Watermelon Sugar look is my favourite formula! I love how bright and summery it is, but also pastel used and subdued. I chose these colours because I thought it was a perfect mix of pastel with a hint of neon to keep it interesting and bright! Pink- Blush & Cupid& Clear, White- Clear with a drop of Nevermore, Green- Seaglass & Area 51 & Clear.

My go-to combos are Icy + Violet 20gm of Icy+5gm of violet as it gives a bit of sheer and removes the yellow tones. Silver and icy on darker bases, it provides a lighter effect on a darker base. What makes the Pulp Riot toners formula stand out? My favourite formulas from Pulp Riot are quite a selection, from high-speed toners to semi-permanents. You can be reassured you can tone hair in 5 mins with High-Speed Toner or use semi-permanent and let them sit for the full 40 mins. Depending on my day, I know what I want to reach fir with my time limits. My favourite formula from the high-speed toners is 1 part Silver to 3 parts peroxide left for 15 minutes for the perfect irredentist Silver. From the semi-permanent range, I can’t fault one colour but my favourite Noir and the neon collection and that they’re all intermixable to create endless shades! Perfect consistency to create masterpieces. The end result is a very deep silver-grey, making it perfect for changing things up for a special event, or trying out the color before committing to a permanent one. It’s great because you don’t have to go through the trouble of lightening and toning your hair before like you’d be required to with a permanent shade. Looking for ways to get silver hair at home but aren’t sure if you want to commit 100%? That’s okay! Coloring your hair a new color can be a scary thing, and silver is definitely not one of those colors you want to do if you aren’t 100% sure about it. Whatsmore, the results are super long-lasting, lasting 6-8 weeks depending on your client’s hair, mixing ratio and processing time. Violet (Violet base): Best for cancelling out yellow undertones. Process longer for highly pigmented pastel violet tones. Well, right away, you can tell that it’s very dark, vivid purple. It’s actually so heavily pigmented, that we didn’t really need as much as we thought, so keep in mind you may have a lot of product left over.Don’t be. It works with all hair types and textures, no matter if your hair is very coarse, thin and silky, or somewhere in the middle. It’s visible with actually any color; even the darkest brunettes! It’s one of the few grey silver hair dyes that actually work this well with any hair type or color, so it’s super versatile. My favourite formula is Mercury, Blush and Powderbecause the colours sit so well together and create a beautiful palette of colours. My absolute favourite formula is 6-1 & -22 from the Faction8 range mixed with 6vol 1:2. This creates the perfect violet, and my clients are absolutely obsessed!

Copper Blonde (Copper base) – for enhancing orange, gold, and yellow undertones to help create light copper tones for pre-lightened blondesWith that being said, we did notice that the purple was stronger than the grey, so if you don’t want that to be the case, you can easily customize it for a more grey/silver look, rather than just a greyish blue/purple. It’s just important to know this beforehand, as you will most likely end up with a purple-grey otherwise. The Joico Titanium is a very blue-based grey, which means if you do have any kind of warmth in your hair (yellow, red, or orange tones), it’s going to mix with these and make your hair have a greenish tone. This is probably not what you’re going for, so make sure that you tone all of that out beforehand. The formula not only tones the hair but it also provides a conditioning shine, increases elasticity, restores moisture and provides a barrier to help protect from environmental damage. One of my favourite formulas is Cupid, Fireball& Lemon 10:5:1 to make a beautiful bright raspberry colour that isn’t currently available in the range. Platinum Pearl (Grey/Violet base) use to create pastel, cool iridescent platinum tones on pre-lightened hair.

is great for adding a little neutral to the mix to soften the tones of the other shades or for a more neutral blonde. Pulp Riot toners are high speed and progressive, so you can see results in just 5 minutes! However, you can leave Pulp Riot toners on anywhere up to 20 minutes, depending on how deep you want the tone. You can even watch the tones progress before your eyes! Pale pink( Pink base): Best for creating subtle and soft baby pink tones. Gorgeous on its own, or as a pre-tone service before applying our semi-permanent colours for added longevity. Blue muse and clear look amazing, teamed with lilac! I created this ribbon-like vivid look with these shades, which is my favourite.

However, if you do end up with it, it’s not too big of a deal, as it fades into a beautiful silver/grey after just a few washes. Pulp Riot toners are best used on pre-lightened blonde hair, or levels 8 to 10. Try using Pulp Riot Clay Lightener or Pulp Riot #BLONDEAF Powder Lightener to lift the hair if needed.
