The problem with blush is that the colour that makes me look so fresh and youthful, can sometimes fade as the day wears on, and suddenly I am looking a little tired. If you like your shades deep and plummy, Kir Royale is here for you. This is a shade that I imagine would be particularly well suited to darker skin tones, although I’ve managed to wear it without it looking unnatural on my very pale skin. It’s a really pretty shade and I particularly love how easily it evokes the images of a yummy Kir Royale! For a bold look, release more blush colour by gently tapping the bristles on the cheeks, or re-prep the brush and repeat application. The color tone is slightly more orange than I thought it would be, so I’m still making up my mind about how I feel. For reference, my foundation shades are Estee Lauder Double Wear 1W1, Revlon Buff, etc, generally fair-neutral-warm/yellow. So I don’t believe that all skin tones will experience this the same. I might prefer this blush more in late summer when my skin is a bit more golden. As I’m writing this at the end of spring, I’m at the peak of my annual pale-ness. It is what it is, ya know?
