I like how this book opened cheerfully but it suddenly turns to being sad after George gets a puppy but had to return it after his mum died. I liked that throughout the book the pace gets faster. However some parts are quiet dark when Clive talks about wanting to body swap more things.

I recommend this book for most normal people under ten because it’s a fantasy book. Reviewed as a family. We loved it. Perfect adventure story for our 8 and 6 year old. Some excellent twists and surprises, especially on the second half of the story. We can't wait to read more by Ben Miller. Midnight wakes George and leads him to the lake. Clive is casting a magic spell. What happens to the rabbit and budgie? What happens to Midnight and George? How does Koko, George and Midnight get to the bottom of the mystery?
