Description

The XL2430T isn't the best choice for many tasks—from a professional standpoint, it's a suitable companion to competitive gamers only. You could certainly still use it for casual tasks like web browsing or watching YouTube, but there are hordes of much cheaper monitors without all the bells and whistles that are just as suitable for those tasks. The XL2430T is one of the best monitors available on the market today for gaming, with an average input lag of 10ms. There are various panel technologies. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The image quality depends directly on the type of the display panel used.

Some things haven't changed. For example, adjusting the height, tilt, or orientation of the screen is still a dream. The sturdy joints give under light but firm pressure, ensuring that the 30T doesn't accidentally move. In the box, you'll find the driver disc, S. Switch controller, power cord, and VGA/DVI cables. There's also a dust-resistant cover, which is especially useful if you plan to lug this thing to gaming competitions. On the left side of the monitor, you’ll find easily accessible USB and headset ports, although you’ll need to run more cables to your PC to make use of them. Approximate width of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the width is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. So, after almost a week tweaking and configuring out the BenQ XL2430T, i managed to get a balanced mix of settings i'm sharing with all you guys. The BBR tool wasn't needed at all since this monitor brings up the new Motion Blur Reduction which comes with Intensity and Area settings on the OSD (same as Strobe Duty and Strobe Phase) that take care of job. I've created a custom resolution of 1080p @ 120Hz with VT1500. Hope to help other XL2430T owners and I'll be looking for your opinions and sugestionsThe Spyder4Elite software spits out a rating of 4 out of 5, not bad at all! Points were deducted for the overly bright gamma and luminance uniformity, but every other test revealed an excellent monitor, on par with IPS-style displays in many areas. Good job, Zowie-a-brand-by-BenQ! Impressions The S-Switch allows easy control of the OSD, and was my preferred method of configuring the monitor.

Size class of the display as declared by the manufacturer. Often this is the rounded value of the actual size of the diagonal in inches. My graphics drivers are updated to the latest version. I didn't set my resolution to be out of range of my 1080p monitor's resolution. The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively. The static contrast shows the ratio between the brightest and the darkest color, which the display can reproduce simultaneously, for example, within one and the same frame/scene. Adobe RGB (1998) is a color space, developed by Adobe Systems in 1998. It has a wider gamut than the sRGB (mainly in the cyan-green range of colors) and is widely used in professional printing. The Area slider is something we haven’t seen before. It is intended to selectively reduce blur depending on image content. In our tests, it only seemed to cause tearing and jitter artifacts when turned up too high. It comes set to 10, and that's where it works well.

Information of the number of pixels in a unit of length. With the decrease of the display size and the increase of its resolution, the pixel density increases. After the initial calibration, we get our initial results, showing that the display reaches 99% of the sRGB standard. We can also see that the monitor hits our calibration targets almost exactly, with very low Delta-E values of 0.5 and 0.6 for White Point and 50% gray, respectively. These are promising signs for a TN-style monitor, so let’s proceed.Colour uniformity also looks good; only at 100% brightness do we see a single bad result in the upper left quadrant of 3.1; otherwise we have values between 0 and 2. This panel represents colours very uniformly.
