Epping Ongar Lights Express, 17 November 2023-7 January 2024. Christmas at Kenwood House, Hampstead Heath Kenwood House will be bathed in light for Christmas at Kenwood 2023. While most light festivals and trails are festive, this one is festive in a different way. Rather than heralding Christmas, it continues the celebrations of King Charles III's coronation, by projecting images and video clips of monarchs, coronation ceremonies and the Crown Jewels onto the exterior of the White Tower. It's by Luxmuralis, who did a similar light show at the Tower of London last year, and regularly take over churches, cathedrals and the like for breathtaking installations. Courtney, who had no idea that Andy was planning to propose, was ecstatic when Andy produced a beautiful diamond ring – and he had even hired a photographer to capture the moment!

The daddy of London's Christmas calendar — and one our all-round favourite annual events in London — Kew Gardens' Christmas offering gets better every year. An atmospheric trail winds through the gardens after dark — perfect for a family-friendly night out, or a romantic date. Wembley Park has made a name for itself offering creative light installations in recent years, and this year it's bringing the goods in the form of The Luminaze, a free to visit neon light maze, pitching up just off Olympic Way for a month. It's a walkthrough installation, with a specially curated soundscape, all centring around the 4-foot tall centrepiece, The Hourglass.

It's another 2km trail, wending through the grounds of the art deco mansion and former Tudor royal palace, and taking about an hour to complete. The interactive installations include 'Halo', a series of towers featuring illuminated halos, which play music in response to touch. On Fridays to Sundays from now until 8 th January 2023 between 4.30pm and 9.00pm, ILLUMINATURE offers visitors an immersive and unique seasonal experience under the stars.
