The storytelling aspect to this novel makes it unique to others in this genre. There are many books that deal with war, refugees and death, but Amina’s stories provide something extra. They are beautiful and bring hope and faith into such as bleak and dangerous setting. Equipping yourself with a small pair of binoculars can be the winning choice. You can admire the lunar craters, the four Medici satellites of Jupiter, some double stars and even, with 50mm binoculars, even double stars and star clusters. For the most passionate, instead, it is “obligatory” to bring along a small (or large) telescope. Refractor telescopes have a diameter ranging from 3.5 to 10 cm, while the reflectors range from 7.5 to 15 cm in diameter of the mirrors. One will be amazed, however, by the possibilities that an instrument of small dimensions can offer. You will be able to distinguish the details of the lunar surface, the four satellites of Jupiter and more distant objects such as nebulae and star clusters. G. Zotti gave a presentation about Virtual Archaeoastronomy with Stellarium (YouTube) for the Society for Cultural Astronomy in the American Southwest (SCAAS) on February 25th, 2023 Today's your day, you're the center of attention, the star. Happy birthday to you on your special day! To me, you're an all-star every day!

Twilight is the brightest when a sun has just set and will get progressively darker until dusk. Between dusk and dawn, twilight will be minimal. Thus resulting in a “dark sky.” Looking for a creative way to say happy birthday? Why not opt for some quotes about stars that work perfectly as uplifting birthday greetings? Laurence Holt, Astronomie-Werkstatt "Sterne ohne Grenzen", John Bellora, Jeff Moe (Spacecruft), BairesDev, Vernon Hermsen, Triplebyte,Like many of Housman’s poems, this one is untitled, so we’ve given its first line here. Although the stars seem to fall, they remain in the sky; although rain falls into the sea, the sea remains the same saltwater it has always been. Housman’s poem is about futility, and offers a less celebratory take on the stars in the night sky.

The quote rescues us from being dragged into the vicious circle of self-pity, despair and helplessness. Life can be harsh on its own. The most unhelpful thing to do is stoke this fire by feeling sorry for ourselves. Our emotions have a powerful influence on our thoughts and actions. Sky Chart: An interactive sky chart is another way to see what’s in the sky on a given evening. You can print out a sky chart to have a physical copy of what you can potentially see. It would be preferable, before an observational evening, to plan the small celestial tour. To get information so if conjunctions are planned, particular oppositions can be a good strategy! Also plan a “tour” of the constellations to identify with the naked eye to orientate among the stars! During the observation of the stars… Stellarium is produced by the efforts of the developer team, with the help and support of the following people and organisationsA. Wolf gave a presentation about Stellarium — key changes in the last 5 years (YouTube) at the Siberian Astronomical Forum SibAstro 2021 on September 25th, 2021 Amina remains a positive and optimistic character as much as she can and turns to the power of storytelling to help the people survive the atrocities. As in her other novel "The Library of Lemons", Cotterill shows us the power of stories, imagination and sharing in books to heal, unite, reassure and calm. It is important not to make the eye unaccustomed to darkness by acquiring red LED lights, which will allow us to have a light source available, without this affecting the correct view of the star drape. Choose the place of observation … Also, pardon me if I'm wrong, but isn't the use of the word "g----" instead of Romani rather offensive? Perhaps that was the intention, but if so, the Romani still shouldn't have referred to themselves with that same term.)

A celestial map can be very useful for identifying stars and constellations. In addition there are several smartphone apps that allow the identification of stars, planets and deep sky objects. Just like each star is unique yet makes the universe what it is, the light in you makes you who you are. That's exactly who you need to be. Amina and Jenna’s personalities are vastly different meaning that the reader should be able to identify with at least one of the girls and place themselves within the story to get a closer feel of what their lives must have been like. It makes us wonder how we would cope ourselves in these situations. Amina is the kind of person who asks questions. She wants to know why things happen and is constantly asking “what if?” Despite being a year younger than Jenna she is the more confident of the two, and it is partly her determination that keeps them alive. Personally, I think I am more like Jenna: quiet, anxious, always wanting to do the right thing. Jenna “just wants everyone to be happy”. Jenna is a realist, whereas Amina is a dreamer. Telescopes: Despite having telescopes like Hubble that can look at galaxies billions of lightyears away, why don't we have a better image of Pluto? If people sat outside and looked at the stars each night, I'll bet they'd live a lot differently.” - Bill WattersonTony Robbins famously says – Problems are a sign of life. The only people who don’t have problems are the ones in the grave! Then I see your post here on poems featuring stars, where I run into an actual T. E. Hulme poem for the first time. So I looked elsewhere on Interesting Literature to see more Hulme, and grabbed a few to start thinking about music for them. Are you looking for romantic sayings or words of love that refer to stars? The one you love is sure to appreciate cards or love letters that feature some of the powerful quotes listed below. Jo Cotterill has imagined a nameless world which is filled with real, believable events. As people are shot, die of malnutrition and are beaten beyond recognition, you have to remind yourself that Amina is only a child and alone in this with only another child, her sister, for company. Throughout the novel I had to remind myself of this a few times as the maturity they exhibit goes far beyond their years. According to the author, the story is based on a few countries that at war like Syria, Palestine, Congo (?)... I dont remember..but in here we dont get to see the religious aspect of the community. There's only a couple of moments that Amina said something about culture forbade them to do this and that (this book is from her POV) and for not touching religious aspects, I really appreciate it because IT IS a touchy subject even how modernized our generation is.

Things started to look very bad. People were being shot, many were punished for saying anything bad against the Kwana and after school one day Ruman decided that he wasn’t going to have it anymore and left to join an underground Rebel movement. Even at night Amina could hear her parents whispering things like: “we’ve got to tell them, sooner or later they’re going to find out”…Even on the cloudiest of nights, stars still shine through the haze. So too, light will shine on even the darkest days. A. Wolf gave a presentation about Stellarium 1.0 (YouTube) at the Siberian Astronomical Forum SibAstro 2022 on September 25th, 2022 Fill the darkest night with a brilliant light/ Cause it's time for you to shine/ Brighter than a shooting star" - "Shooting Star," Owl City This brutal reality and the tragic story act as a sharp contrast to the free spirit and strong will of our feisty heroine. Amina finds her talents in storytelling, bringing comfort to herself and those around her in their darkest hours. She is honest and brave but remains believable in her acts of defiance. In just seven lines, the father of English modernist poetry, T. E. Hulme, captures the mood of a ‘fallen gentleman’ sleeping rough by the Thames. Looking up at the beautiful night sky, the homeless and hapless man longs to grab the ‘star-eaten blanket of the sky’ and wrap himself in it for warmth. A sort of reversal of Oscar Wilde’s famous line, ‘We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars’: here, we can all look at the stars, but some of us are in the gutter …
