Saturn Returns by Caggie Dunlop

Existential crises: "Sometimes there's an existential crisis that happens during a Saturn return, which is why people see it as a source of suffering," the twins note. Due to the nature of this period, there's a tremendous amount of change, but also growth, that takes place. As such, it can feel like your life is being totally transformed as you step into a new chapter—which can feel exciting but also intimidating, making you question everything. She discusses the global impact of her mental wellbeing app, Happy Not Perfect, and her latest role as co-founder of a stealth start-up. Poppy also opens up about the power of female friendships, her personal and professional growth, the challenges of life in Los Angeles, and her battle with orthorexia. Life, especially in your late 20s or during or after menopause, can be a hard, confusing and lonely place. For those of us in the first age group, the traditional milestones of adulthood – home ownership, marriage, children, job stability – feel increasingly unattainable. Meanwhile, women during and after the menopause often feel invisible and ignored.

Once we've learned these tough life lessons, we emerge from a Saturn Return with healthy, solid foundations and a newfound self-awareness, with which we can begin building our legacy – until the planet has taken another trip around the sun and we experience a second Saturn Return, around the age of 60. Much like the process of an oyster which, when irritated by a grain of sand creates a pearl, it's thought that the hardships we experience help us to blossom. Your Saturn Return is your very own pearl in the making. And when you recognise that, it helps you to lean into the process, rather than resisting it. Ages 27–30: It’s time to completely recalibrate and celebrate your free will and divinity. Be a fool in love with your SELF – recognise your right to be here, to live according to your own will and to become the authority, the sovereignty that leads your life. In William’s galaxy humans have diversified both space and the mind. There are now Primes, Forts, Singletons amongst others. And they have more control of their bodies and how time is perceived. All this adds to an interesting and unique mix. Internal conflicts will arise, as the universe is urging us to shed people, situations and behaviours in our lives that are no longer working for us, allowing space for others to flourish.

Not sure about this one. Main character (Imre Bergamasc) is unloveable, even though there are strong themes of redemption (of him, maybe his other selves, and probably the galaxy) throughout the novel. The span of time that the action takes place over is just a little on the unbelievable side - I just can't bring myself to believe that the kind of things that take decades in other stories really take millenia. Plus, the story is on the slow moving side - yes, it is moving across galactic distances at sub-light speed, and the sory does manage to convey this well, but even so. With a focus on self-discovery and personal development, the course offers practical tools and guidance to help individuals navigate the challenges and introspective work we encounter from Saturn’s life lessons. Because Saturn is the planet of responsibilities, time, and wisdom, a Saturn Return is, basically, your astrological coming of age. It’s the push you need to enter true adulthood. Saturn demands that you take full and complete accountability for your choices, propelling major — albeit challenging — transformation.

I loved the inclusion of the instructions on how to read your birth chart (for me: Saturn sits in the sixth house, in the sign of Aquarius at 24 degrees) but I would perhaps have appreciated a little more depth around this - perhaps a chapter solely devoted to reading and understanding your chart, rather than a subchapter.

Overall I enjoyed the ideas and world that is presented, what makes it worth reading at the moment is the mystery element and how each of the character is more than they appear. Nothing about Saturn is casual. The proverbial zaddy of the zodiac and sixth planet from the sun is astrologically associated with time, regulations, and boundaries. On a good day, this ringed gas giant symbolizes hard work, long-term accolades, and incomparable resolve. On the other hand, Saturn’s bad days are harsh, critical, and unforgiving. The planet abides by a tough-love approach, demanding we learn lessons the “hard way.” In your book, you write about navigating fame in your early 20s as a cast member of Made In Chelsea. Does the publicity you're experiencing now feel any different to then? If so, how do you manage it? You might be an avid horoscope reader and clued into Mercury retrograde, but are you aware of Saturn's return and what it could mean for you?

If you try to be the best version of yourself and play by the rules, then you’ll succeed and breeze through the Saturn Return. If you don’t learn from the lessons that Saturn is bringing your way, there will be repercussions. Saturn helps us learn from our mistakes. We can and will make them over and over again until we finally realise what needs to change. That said, Saturn teaches us that, when the going gets tough, we can actually keep going. And that perseverance, that tenacity, is actually incredibly empowering. It is! your Saturn Return? However, maybe the answer for why Saturn Return – and astrology more widely – is resonating with so many people can be found in the fertile ground somewhere between hard science and horoscopes. With honesty and aplomb Sean shows us that, unfortunately, wars will never be won: it’s the human condition and mirrors the current global situation. No matter how hard we travel and how hard we evolve, human beings, at their very basic, will always be warring machines …By embracing the lessons of Saturn, participants can gain a deeper understanding of themselves, what they truly need to feel fulfilled and their place in the world. In today’s episode, I delve into the inspiring journey of Poppy Jamie, a recognized Forbes’ 30 under 30 luminary, UN Global Goals advocate, British wellness entrepreneur, TV host, and best-selling author on a mission to empower mental wellbeing.
