I did contemplate buying a cheaper alternative from a competitor of Yandles, however, after watching a review on YouTube it appears that the item has a plastic casing which would no doubt eventually get damaged in my workshop. I do have a number of other Record tools including: dust extractor, lathe, numerous cramps and hand tools, and as always, I was not disappointed with this piece of Record equipment.

The unit measures 430mm by 515mm and is 260mm tall, however it is designed to be most effective mounted from the ceiling. It comes with four sets of hooks and chains that allow you to hang it at the correct height above the work area. The air cleaner can be plugged into standard household 230 Volt mains AC power. The remote control start means that you can have it well above head height without needing access to any buttons. Record Power recommend the unit is hung at least 2.13 metres from the floor level for optimum filtration.The item works well and keeps the air free from the build up dust which unavoidably escapes my dust/chip extraction units, the remote-control unit makes it easy to switch on/adjust the level of filtration, the unit also has the benefit of a timer run-on which allows the unit to left switched on after you are finished allowing any remaining airborne dust to be removed before it settles around the workshop. The unit effectively circulates the air around my workshop and is fairly quiet when operating.
