Description

The T500RS had a spring based brake pedal, which allowed you to stiffen the brake pedal by installing a spring mod. The T3PA Pro has a decidedly industrial design that is largely attributable to the fact that it is designed to be used in F1 or GT (inverted) positions – and us such must be somewhat more modular in aesthetic. Form is perhaps a secondary consideration with the pro model, and users will appreciate that no expense has been spared in pursuit of extreme functionality and versatility. If you have previously used the standard two pedal kit that comes with Thrustmaster wheels, these will feel familiar. The brake and throttle pedals both feel almost identical to the two pedal kit. The Basherboards CPX Adapter V2 is compatible with the following sim racing devices, allowing you to combine any of the following;

As we stated in the previous section, both of these pedal sets have been around for a considerable amount of time and it’s probably best to say that they’re both overperformers – but the increased quality and customizability of the Pro model does translate to better performance. I guess increasing the value of the variable resistor (I mentioned above) would lower the voltage input to the pedals - meaning the registered 'braking' value is lower for the same force on the pedal. This makes me think a 20kg Load Cell with a resistor added behaves more like a 40kg Load Cell? Is that right, so it will only ever get 'harder' to press the pedal, the more I dial it up? If you have problems with FFB auto-centering heavily on Logitech wheels (e.g. G920), switching the TYPE from "Logitech Legacy" to "DirectInput" may help. This allows you to run a closer brake and throttle pedal for heel and toe downshifting, if that’s your style.When you are looking to buy a Thrustmaster sim racing wheel, you will see that the main wheel bundles come with a two pedal set as standard. You do have the option to upgrade to a three pedal set as part of these bundles, which add these T3PA pedals to your bundle.

Although the regular T3PA offer great value for money, we think the T3PA Pro are a far better choice for most sim racers. They are built entirely out of metal and are far more customizable with both F1 and GT pedal setups. T3PA vs T3PA Pro: Technical Specs The Best F1 23 Racing Wheels View the very best racing wheels for F1 23 on Xbox, PC & PS5. View the best wheels As mentioned, the design is almost identical to the T500RS pedals. That isn’t a bad thing. Unlike some cheaper pedals, the T3PA-Pros feature a full metal construction. This really elevates the perceived quality of this pedal set. Side-note, yes, all TM budget pedals are terrible, yes, there are better options, we all know this. But working terrible pedals are better then non-working ones (not by much though in case of TM). These are designed to work on all T range Thrustmaster wheels, and they should be a must buy for those who have a T300 or TX racing wheel. If you already have a T500 RS, these are practically the same but with the extra braking mod.Overall, when compared to the two pedal set, the T3PA pedals do ooze a much more professional quality. We would say that almost any two pedal setup isn’t ideal, but this jump from the two pedals to the three feels rather more significant. The most important consideration when using any pedals – in games or in real life – is functionality, and both of these sets are built to function well for a long time. The improved design of the Pro model can’t be denied, but the standard set is nothing to scoff at in this regard. So we have covered how to use Fanatec pedals with a Thrustmaster wheel. But what if you fancy doing things the other way around. What if you want to use Thrustmaster pedals with a Fanatec wheel.
