If you want to buy the Ring in Nook’s Cranny when it does rotate in, it will cost you 69,000 Bells (nice). This makes it one of the more expensive items in the whole game, though it isn’t right up there with items like the Aluminum Briefcase. New Horizons Ring

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game with an almost overwhelming amount of stuff to acquire, whether that’s via Nook’s Cranny, gifts from villagers, or even in balloons. One of the most lucrative items is the Ring. The Ring is only available from Nook’s Cranny and appears randomly, meaning that it could technically be months before you see it for the first time. It’s effectively an engagement ring, it coming in a box. You cannot preview the contents of what’s in the box before you buy it. While you may think that something special will happen in New Horizons if you give it to a villager, it unfortunately doesn’t. We gave Twiggy (though it really should have been Fauna) our Ring and there was no special dialogue or anything, let alone the ability to marry her. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch family of devices. You land on a deserted island and then must build it into an island paradise all your own, one big loan at a time. From our review: We guess, though, that you could always plant the Ring on the ground in front of a villager for some pretty funny photo opportunities.Interestingly, this keyring uses a brand new Isabelle render that hasn’t yet been released, unlike the Tom Nook and K.K. Slider keychains that do use previously released renders. Hopefully, we’ll get that Isabelle render released in full resolution soon! It can be placed either on the floor or on top of a surface, and then the only thing you can really do with it is pressing A to open the box and showcase the ring itself inside. You can of course rotate it, but the Ring’s purpose in New Horizons seems to be entirely ornamental. We bought the Ring in New Horizons and can tell you that it functions in the same way as many of the other high-value items in the game, in that it doesn’t do much at all.

If you’re just starting out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and find the Ring in the shop, we’d recommend you put your Bells towards paying off loans and upgrading your house first instead.
