I am sooooo excited for the series, but I don't have a kindle so I guess I'll have to wait for January. Now I've never been a huge fan of their relationship because I was so in love with Ethan and Lena's. I get it’s probably for continuity reasons, but it would have been to have someone different for Link to really come through. Hachette Book Group is a leading book publisher based in New York and a division of Hachette Livre, the third-largest publisher in the world.

My feelings about the Caster Chronicles series that spawned this new Dangerous Creatures series were mixed, and I never got around to finishing the previous series after seeing some spoilers for the end of book 4. Catch up with Ethan, Lena, and Link as they finally graduate from high school and get ready to leave the small Southern town of Gatlin. The mystery of who was behind of everything bad that happened to the characters gripped my attention. This book was plot driven with its psychological issues, it's action packed scenes, it's heart breaking moments with a side of hotty goodness and sweet moments that just tears at your heart.

I have this theory that some characters are not meant to be point of view characters, because that kills part of what makes them fascinating and I’m afraid that is what could happen to Ridley. TLDR: Read this story if you are a die hard Beautiful Creatures fan, love the characters of Ridley and Link, and plan to read Dangerous Creatures (which comes out this May). While I couldn’t always relate to Lena and Ethan and wasn’t fully on the bandwagon promoting their relationship, I’ve always been a huge fan of Ridley and Link. If you decide to try and induce lucid dreaming through methods that disrupt your sleep, be sure you still obtain an adequate amount of sleep overall.

There are elements of a stellar paranormal suspense perfectly blended with a psychological thriller. Fans of Beautiful Creatures should check it out and if your planning on reading Dangerous Creatures, this is a must read. Also, I know it a very small thing, but the card game that was being played in this short story really angered me. Quite simply, this doesn't read as a short story - it reads as a prologue to the book that isn't coming out for six months. Xander was struck by lightening; his scars form from his forehead all the way down his body and although most people are repulsed by his appearance, he has acquired abilities from the incident.Unfortunately, Dangerous Dream has not only completely failed to engage me and spur me to purchase either series, it has in fact achieved the opposite and deterred me from reading anything further from these authors. And I actually think this is the only time ever in the history of the world that I LIKED ETHAN LAWSON WATE.

This story is one that grips you from start to finish with your heart in your throat wondering what will happen next.
