For me, there’s only really one downside to this lightweight stroller and that’s the break… The badly placed brake The Micralite ProFold is the smoothest compact pushchair we’ve ever used. It actually made me realise how bumpy the Babyzen Yoyo is in comparison. The suspension on it makes a huge difference and makes this stroller a genuine option for everyday use as it can easily be used on most surfaces.

Freestanding, it takes up even less floor space wherever you store it, but it can also just about fit in the footwell of a large car. In a smaller car, you could rest it on its side in the footwell but you might prefer to leave it in the boot. The next step for us is to look at the products in the Prams and pushchairs category. Nathasha: The ProFold makes your life easier by making the compact stroller an actual everyday use stroller too. You could readily swap this out for your usual pram once your child is big enough. I would probably wait until at least 6 months as these lightweight prams don’t have the cocoon effect that other sturdier prams offer. But it gives you the freedom to reduce your pram footprint early on without compromising on comfort for your child. I love how small it folds down to and how neatly it stands in the hallway. And I feel my little one is super comfortable in the extended hood, the UV protection and airy feeling it offers my little one is ideal especially for the summer. Its hood was more effective than my existing Babyzen one so I was more inclined to use the ProFold. Would you recommend this to other mums? It’s all too often that we get carried away when shopping and find ourselves buying a fantastic product, but probably actually overdelivers on what we need and therefore costs a lot more than we should have spent. So spend a bit of time looking around at the sort of price you can expect to pay for products in the Prams and pushchairs category and use that alongside your own financial situation to set yourself a budget.

Next up is the material. Take a look at what Micralite ProFold Pushchair is made from. Often you can spot the quality of the product based on the materials used to make it, with some obvious signs of a cheaper product with certain types of material. Tandem Adaptors

You can’t adjust the handlebar so I feel like I’m walking too close to that brake. I don’t expect the handlebar to be adjustable on a compact stroller but it definitely needs to be longer. I’m only 5’3 and I find it too short so I’m guessing that someone who is 6ft would find it almost impossible. While the ProFold’s toggle glides smoothly and remains secure when the seat is upright, some users might prefer a different style of recline altogether. How easy is it to assemble? On the whole, our tester had no safety concerns about the ProFold, having covered at least 50 miles over the course of a week, off-road, along pavements and in and out of shops. The brand of product you buy can vary in importance, from person to person. Some people will of course be much more particular about the brands they will use. Whilst others aren’t interested in the brand and are more interested in the overall quality or price of the product itself. Thankfully is a brand that many customers have grown to love over the years and is very popular for items in the Prams and pushchairs category.

You’ll have to factor in either buying a travel system to start with (an approach many parents take) or using a baby carrier or sling for the first few months before making the transition. One of my biggest bug bears with lightweight strollers is that they usually have small, flimsy hoods. But thankfully, the Micralite ProFold has a great hood that is extendable, has UPF50+ protection, it’s breathable and has a peep window too. Initially, Adele was concerned that the ProFold wasn’t a very deep pushchair and seated her child in an unusually upright position but, by adjusting the recline strap and the thigh support, she was able to find a position that both she and her child were happy with. With that in mind, we wanted to really explore and analyse the price of Micralite ProFold Pushchair to see how cheap you can get it, but also see how it compares to other products. To do this we looked all the products available in the “Prams and pushchairs” category, as well as looking at the products available from the brand Micralite.

The only thing that I dislike about the product is, due to it being so lightweight and it folding so compact, it doesn’t feel as sturdy as other strollers. It feels a bit flexible/ wobbly when on uneven ground. But I can’t imagine you can have the convenience of this stroller without a small consequence. So, we were eager to find out how sturdy the Micralite ProFold feels. It's one thing being able to fold it small enough to carry as hand luggage, but can it still do the job when it comes to pounding the pavement with a growing toddler on a daily basis? The shopping basket is sturdy and situated well away from the footrest so there’s no chance of a child accidentally stepping into it.
