Picture quality tests include broadcast 1080i high-definition TV, Freeview, Freeview HD, viewing angle and the stability of motion in fast action scenes. It’s certainly cheaper than a typical QLED 4K TV with advanced Dolby Vision HDR – but does it give you a ‘true cinematic experience’ as Hisense claims?

The Hisense is a very good living room workhorse that will suit a wide range of consumers and some enthusiasts. It is not just the build quality that impresses as the U7K also supports all the current HDR flavours, with HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, HLG ( Hybrid Log-Gamma), IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision and Dolby Vision IQ compatibility. That’s a lot of screen real estate for affordable pricing, so the performance needs to live up to the promise, a promise last year’s UK units disingenuously squandered by carrying the same SKU numbers as more impressive global models from the company before revealing themselves as under-specced. Viewing angles are not a strong point on the Hisense and as soon as you get over 20 degrees off-axis colour and gamma start to drift noticeably. Wisa Ready enables you to experience a loss free high quality audio stream with out the need for additional software.

As most streaming services now provide DV content as well as a growing catalogue of UHD Blu-rays, you should be able to get the best out of the U7QF.

But even among these disappointments, it is still possible to appreciate that Hisense has got plenty right with this TV. However, we didn’t notice any major issues with colour within HDR content we viewed on the Hisense, it just wasn’t quite as rich as some of the better (and more expensive) Quantum Dot TVs on the market. Watching in normal living room lighting and we simply couldn’t fault the Hisense when handling the heavy lifting of Homes Under the Hammer and other daytime fodder. Where this TV really shines is when used in a normal living room with some ambient lighting and watching everyday content or playing games What are your alternatives? In a well-lit room, HDR content once again looks accurate with stunning colours and nice dynamic range on offer.

Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously. With an HDR signal, peak brightness jumps to 622 nits for a full-screen white field and 1,056 nits for an 18% white field, which, combined with an 0. Game Mode Pro] Slide into first place with 144Hz Game Mode PRO; all the game-ready features you’ll need for the optimal gaming experience. Images do look accurate to an experienced eye, with excellent skin tones and natural-looking colour performance with decent image depth and detail.
