Description

As you might expect, the Blutune comes with all the connectivity features you might need, including DAB+, DAB, and FM radio, combined with Bluetooth in case you want to stream music and content from your phone. Whether you’re taking the device with you on the move for those afternoon picnics, sessions down by the beach, or romantic declarations of love under your crush’s window – the Blutune 5 will get the job done. For example, you can select the appropriate source and then play around a bit in the equalizer or skip the next song. As an alternative to the control unit on the radio itself, you can also use the included remote control. This offers all the buttons that you can find on the radio itself. Anyone who wants to use the BluTune 300 in the living room will certainly be happy about this alternative. The sound quality

Free the music on your smartphone or tablet, with Bluetooth audio streaming. Simply pair with your smartphone or tablet and stream your stored music or music from the many streaming music services available, such as Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer. Bluetooth streaming gives you access to a near unlimited supply of music. The Roberts Radio Blutune is a elegant yet unassuming unit styled in charcoal grey with attractive rounded-out corners and a compact chassis. The supplied remote control is even more bijou – in fact it’s too small – but it gets the job done. Although we do think Roberts should consider a mobile app for these new Bluetooth enabled models. More than just a pretty face, this portable Bluetooth speaker combines exceptional sound quality with convenience and simplicity. There’s built-in DAB, DAB+ and FM connectivity, so you can find and listen to the radio stations that you love in crystal-clear quality. Once you have your Roberts Blutune 200 set up, you’ll find that the speakers offer an excellent quality of audio. The experience isn’t quite as robust as you might get from an alternative Roberts model, like the Revival RD70, but it’s still more than acceptable. Roberts gives you the option to either wake up to the sound of a standard buzzer, or a pre-set radio station. There’s also a snooze button for when you need “five more minutes.”

In terms of sound quality, you can expect exceptional clarity and clear tones from the Blutune 5. Like most of the Bluetooth radios that you’ll find in the Roberts Radio portfolio, this stylish number doesn’t compromise on sound. A restrained design only brings advantages if the dimensions of a device are not too expansive. And Roberts has done a very good job here as well. Thus, the BluTune 300 measures a very compact 360 mm x 135 mm x 260 mm. The weight of 4.2 kg is anything but light, but since this is not a mobile speaker anyway, this should bother the very few. Due to the comparatively small size, the radio’s fields of application are diverse. It can not only be used as a radio for the kitchen or nightstand. It is also pretty to look at in the living room. Whether the sound performance is also sufficient for the living room location, however, is something we want to clarify later. The color display is nice and sharp and doesn’t exaggerate with overly bright colors. What’s more, the Blutune T2 also features a nifty leather carry handle, making it even easier to transport. It’s not as small as the Roberts Sports, but it’s also intended for more than just one person to use at a time.

Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 29th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) Intended to be more than just a basic portable radio, the Roberts Blutune 5 is a high-performance Bluetooth streaming device and incredible bedside radio. At first, setting your Bluetooth up can be a bit fiddly. It’ll be worth it as you’ll also be able to enjoy high sound quality whether you’re streaming or playing music through your radio connection. Roberts ensures you have enough depth and volume in your sound to keep the party going. Roberts doesn’t have many “unattractive” devices in its catalogue, although it’s fair to say that different items have their own distinct feel. For us, the Blutune 5 feels very similar to an old-fashioned boombox. The traditional British company rather stands for premium radios since the year 1932 and is nothing less than the court supplier of the crown. All the greater is the pressure that weighs on the shoulders of the hifi expert with each new release. The BluTune 300 is the latest audio system to be launched by the Brits. Since we are now writing the year 2021, this can of course not only receive radio waves, but much more. We take a look at the noble piece of hi-fi technology in our detailed test. Technical details of the Roberts BluTune 300 Device type Don’t know where to put all your CDs? That’s how I feel too. That’s why I was downright happy to finally have a device in my own home, the BluTune 300, to play my old CD collection. The CD slot is pleasantly unobtrusively hidden on the front and has an automatic feed. I strongly expect that many buyers of the BluTune 300 will feel a similar sensation to mine and will be delighted with the new discovery of their own CD collection. DAB+ allows you to find many different radio stations – assuming reception of the high-quality signal.

One downside is that the sound system’s stereo speakers are fairly small, and don’t offer too much volume. Apart from that, there isn’t much to complain about with the Roberts Blutune100. Similar radios Unlike the Roberts Sports DAB 5, the Blutune 200 isn’t a portable device, but it’s relatively easy to move it and set the machine up and different parts of your home if necessary. Roberts Blutune 200 review: Ease of use It’s hard to find a Roberts radio that doesn’t have an attractive and sophisticated appearance. The Roberts Blutune is similar in style to the Stream 94i, though it’s a little larger. Like the Stream, the Blutune 200 features a combination of a sleek plastic façade and solid wood body. The wooden finish both gives the machine a warmer appeal when it’s sitting in your bedroom and living room and also provides extra depth to your sound quality too. Pleased I bought it. I still love CDs but am somewhat alarmed by the apparently declining number of manufacturers of devices to play them. In part, my decision to buy was influenced by my hope to future-proof my collection, all of which is classical music. On the front of the device, you’ll find a fantastic digital screen where you can browse through music options and even connect to Bluetooth.

Bluetooth stream your music or listen to the radio or a CD, while wirelessly charging your smartphone, with the brilliantly practical Roberts Blutune 300. The control of the noble radio goes wonderfully simple from the hand. Anyone who has ever operated an audio device does not have to look in the manual to know which button has what meaning. Individual operating steps can be carried out in the interaction of the control unit and the easily recognizable display. Alternatively, the chic radio can also be controlled with the included remote control. Unfortunately, this doesn’t make as high-quality an impression as the radio. From the moment we unboxed the Roberts Blutune 5 portable radio, we had the urge to run outside and start blasting love songs under someone’s window with it. That’s the kind of vibe you’re going to get, and it matches well with the “retro” character that’s so common from Roberts Radio. While the Roberts Blutune T2 DAB radio with Bluetooth doesn’t have the same retro styling, it delivers a sophisticated appeal that’s hard to overlook.

The space at the top of the Blutune T2 is shiny silver, giving it a delightful modern appearance, while the side panelling has been done in soft oak wood, giving you that all-important vintage appeal. If the radio doesn’t find a DAB signal, relocate it to an area with better reception. Once in the new area, conduct a second scan to find the signal. Using Bluetooth, you can stream music from a smartphone, tablet or laptop through the Blutune100’s high-quality speakers. This means you could use the Roberts Blutune100 for listening to online radio or streaming music from YouTube or Spotify via a smartphone connected to the internet. What’s more, like with most Roberts devices, you’ll find that the DAB connection is particularly strong. As well as sleep and snooze timers, the Blutune 300 gives you dual alarms, with the option of waking to the radio or a buzzer. Combined with the smartphone charger, this makes it ideal for bedside use. The 5 preset buttons included in the device make finding the content you love a lot easier, and the fact that the Bluetooth connectivity is easy to use is a huge boon too. We’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve ended up pulling our hair out when testing a Bluetooth speaker that just won’t connect. Charging your smartphone couldn’t be easier than with the Blutune 300. Simply place a Qi-charging compatible smartphone (or other compatible device) on the dedicated place on top of the system. For none compatible devices, you can also charge via the USB interface. Fitted with DAB+, DAB and FM tuners, the Roberts Blutune 300 is well equipped for tuning into a wide range of radio stations. DAB+ and DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) give you access to the widest range of stations, in crisp and clear digital sound quality. In case your favourite stations aren't available in DAB, the Blutune 300 is also equipped with an FM tuner.
