Description

Pop a thin smear of grease or WD40 or childrens bubble solution around the inside of the motor housing An Motor - https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/DC14-spares.html/dyson-motor-ydk-yv-dc04-dc07-dc14-dc27-dc33 Or HEPA, depending on what your machine currently has, both are interchangeable though) https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/DC14-spares.html/DC07-DC14-HEPA-filter If you are wondering how to change the belt on your Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner, you have come to the right place. The power brush and the motor are connected by a belt. To remove the old belt, you must first disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the power supply. Then, pull out the power nozzle and remove the belt. You can then slip the new belt on the power brush and replace it.

A Belt Lifter makes the job alot easier ( https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/DC14-spares.html/Dyson-Belt-Removal-Tool) but it's not critical. Refit the outer trim to the motor housing, then fit that to the chassis (lean the chassis up against something, it makes it much easier!) The housing should sit like this against the inner channel

News:

Rubber it up. The belt spindle end is keyed with a fat and thin protrusion. Hold the motor like so, observing where the cable will sit around the side of the carbon brush and exits the motor housing, then fit the seal to the motor so the keyed segments will be in the correct location.

The belt on your Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner is connected to the brush bar and is a large piece of rubber. It is important to remove the old belt before installing the new one. You can use a torx key to unscrew the belt from the brush housing and then wedge the screwdriver underneath it to make more room for the new belt. Once you have removed the old belt, you should insert the new one. The power brush of a Dyson DC14 vacuum cleaner rotates the brush bar to remove dirt and debris. The brush is connected to a rubber belt. This belt is connected to the motor unit and the brush bar. Over time, the belt will wear out and the brush will spin at a slower speed. During this period, it’s advisable to let the DC14 cool down before you begin to replace the old belt.
