Jesus said to those who were planning to kill him, “You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth” (John 8:44). John says, “Do not be like Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother” (1 John 3:12). Jesus told the blameless church at Smyrna, “The devil is about to throw some of you into prison. . . . Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life” (Revelation 2:10). Lord, I pray that my kids (grandkids) will develop an eternal perspective and purpose, not an earthly one. Help them to see life–and every challenge–through Your eyes, eager and unafraid to share with others the good news of Jesus wherever they go. I pray that they will set their minds on things above, not just what’s going on here, and that they will be rooted and grounded in Your love. I pray they will come to understand the extent of Your own love for them–that it surpasses all the head knowledge they will acquire in school. To put it in a word, Satan is blood-thirsty. Christ came into the world that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Satan comes that he might destroy life wherever he can and in the end make it eternally miserable. 9. Satan fights against the plans of missionaries.Our world is filled with events and situations that can cause great anxiety and fear. If we were all honest, we'd admin that it can be overwhelming when we begin to worry about our loved ones, family, friends, and even ourselves. We want to protect ourselves and our loved ones from harm - emotional, physical, and spiritual. When you feel worry start to creep in, saying a prayer for protection is a powerful way to gain assurance of safety. We are promised in God’s Word that he is faithful and will protect us ( 2 Thessalonians 3:3). Bless all those who are traveling with me, and keep our spirits uplifted and our bodies unharmed. Let Your protective hand guide the vehicles and instruments guiding us, ensuring a smooth and trouble-free journey. In Acts 10:38, Peter described Jesus as one who “went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil.” In other words, the devil often oppresses people with illness. This too is one of his designs. Celtic monks used it to start their day.The hymn was several stanzas long, and the last two stanzas were especially memorable and moving:

As I navigate the complexities of life, grant me the unwavering trust to stand firm in Your truth, knowing that Your plans are for my good. Rekindle the flame of faith within me, O God, so that I may face challenges with courage and walk in the assurance of Your unchanging love. A Prayer for Healing from Spiritual Oppression This promise, along with the next, is simply the reminder on how fervent prayer will help us all grow in holiness by avoiding sin, especially a prayer with the excellence of the Rosary. An increase in holiness necessarily requires a reduction in sin, vice, and doctrinal errors (heresies). If only the Modernists could be convinced to pray the Rosary! Protection Over My Home

Numbers 6:22-27 is known as the “Priestly Blessing” or sometimes the “Aaronic Benediction.” There are seven requests made in this prayer. In the ever-changing landscape of spiritual warfare, believers are called to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. In this spiritual journey, prayer becomes an essential weapon, a direct line of communication with our Creator, and a shield against the assaults of Satan.

Prayer for Guidance and Protection

The New Testament highlights prayer as the pervasive accompaniment of every battle. “Take . . . the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication” (Ephesians 6:17–18). Dear Heavenly Father, in the midst of a world filled with uncertainties and spiritual battles, I come before You recognizing the significance of seeking Your divine protection against the cunning schemes of the evil one. I humbly ask that You envelop me in Your impenetrable shield, one that stands as a barrier against the fiery arrows of temptation aimed to sway me from Your path of righteousness. Jesus healed a woman once who was bent over and could not straighten herself. When some criticized him for doing that on the Sabbath, he said, “Ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?” (Luke 13:16). Jesus saw Satan as the one who had caused this disease.

Prayer for Comfort and Protection

Jesus indeed told His followers to pray for those who spitefully use them ( Matthew 5:44; Luke 6:28), but the context of these passages make it clear that Jesus was speaking about how to treat our fellow man. Nowhere in Scripture are we asked or commanded to pray for the salvation of Satan or his angels. In 1 Peter 5:8–9, we are told to beware of Satan and resist him steadfastly in the faith. In James 4:7, we are told to resist the devil. We are also told in Ephesians 4:27 not to give place to the devil, and Ephesians 6:12 states that we wrestle against satanic and demonic forces.
