Particularly when it came to the mystic element that was included, considering the part it played with having connections to Cyn and Arden due to the special gifts they possessed.Cyn has been mute ever since she saw her mom’s murder as a kid. She’s also got a nearly supernatural ability to use plants to make natural remedies and substances. This book has alternating chapters in the past and present, similar to Freestyle. Jumping between past and present doesn't always work, but it's done well, here. There was also the case of appearances being made by her family members, which brought forth some revelations bringing more to the story from what was revealed, filling in some missing pieces when it came to Cyn’s life story. Explore the societal pressure and cultural expectations that link diamonds to financial success and status Ah, I super love this book. Like I am super obsessed with this. I love Cyn. She is so fierce and so clever minx. I love the men. You will slowly, slowly and I promise you will fall in love with them. It is a slow burn but their chemistry is so electric and I knew from chapter 6 that I would cry from this book and the angst would be so good. This is really good shit. I would say this book is a diamond itself to be honest.

So once again, she has the upper hand, even though it initially seems like the guys hold all the power.Cyn trying to protect all the girls that Soren has taken is so brave and courageous of her especially knowing that her actions will have horrible consequences. Cyn making that to give her and the guys the best chances to make it out of the skull brotherhood alive was genius

Honestly that scene seemed more like a fetish, and with the reason given behind it made it worse IMO with trying to justify or make it work. Cyn is absolutely incredible and so strong. I struggled with really liking the guys in the first book cause they did some messed up things to her over the years but to watch them come to terms with their love was absolutely breathtaking. The lengths they will go for her was unreal and I loved every minute of watching each relationship group along side them growing as a group too. And whew those spicy scenes were hot AF. The garden moment with Arden and then the 3 minute challenge in the room next to the guests was sooooo good. IYKYK. So good!! Having read the Academy of Stardom series, I couldn't wait to know the story of the Deana-dhe and their love story. The first book had mild heat and got spicy at the end but I felt like that was what the group needed. I enjoyed the development and plots as they all found each other again. The ending left me hanging on for more and I was glad that Cyn’s secret were revealed!Breakers is book 3 of this amazing series and do an audiobook listen leading up to book 5’s release has made me fall for these characters all over again and I am going to be so emotional when we close the door on their story and lives (hopefully just for now!). We finally get the resolutions we had been waiting for, the walls come down even more, the steam is turned up a notch and more characters from the shared world make an appearance (love the Easter eggs and spinoff series coming from this one!). I loved every second of this book. Lyrical and Breakers are seriously tied for my favorites out of the 4 (and a lot of her other series’ - I mean Grim and Beast still are at the top though haha. So many laughs). I mention this in every review but idc, Bea's writing is beautiful, she is one of the few authors whose writing can captivate me so thoroughly with every book of hers I read! She makes me feel so much emotion while I read and I love that she consistently prioritizes her characters making emotional progress before any spice comes along, it makes the spicy scenes feel so much more significant and intimate and unsurprisingly I loved it in this book too! Bea you amazingly talented woman. I absolutely love this story. Not gonna lie took me awhile to feel any time of way about Cyn, there were moments she also tested my patience because she preyed on my pet peeves but otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Guys were everything and more. I kind of wanted the book to get darker than it was if that was even possible but maybe that’s just me. I have no doubt in my mind part 2 is going to just as amazing as this book. Furthermore, it is important to note that diamonds do not hold their value as well as other investments. While they may be a girl’s best friend, Her doing that for her father. Giving him that gift of kindness even when he doesn’t deserve that from her just shows how much of a truly good person she is.

The set up of the narrative differed in this book, having been split into two parts which was surprising for me, having not expected it. I was very dubious about the book and still found it rather disappointing. Especially with how the Deana-dhe were presented in the Academy of Stardom series. stars. I didn’t dislike this book. I like this author, I love this British criminal underworld that she’s created in all of her books. I like her characters. Sadly, the Breakers weren’t in this one. But Grim and Beast were, and they were the best parts. But, I did have several issues with this story that prevents me from being able to give it 4 stars. Hey there! She really takes the time to delve into her characters, in to this shared world so many are interconnected with. I love all the cameos/mentions, it must be exhausting trying to keep all of the characters and timeline in mind when writing new romances in the world. Kudos to her! On the one hand you had Cyn trying to survive the terrible ordeal that she finds herself in at the hands of Skull Brotherhood, waiting to be rescued by Deana-Dhe.
