When applying glitter to fabric, you must consider how often you plan to wash your clothes. Washing will disrupt the glue that holds the glitter to the fabric. Therefore, you should avoid washing your clothes immediately after applying glitter. Instead, wait several days before washing your clothes. This will allow the glue to set and keep the glitter in place. Shake the spray paint and apply it in a sweeping motion. Spray up to 4 coats of spray paint, depending on your preference. But allow one layer to dry before spraying the next coat. If there’s excess paint, wipe it off. If possible, place the fabric in a garment bag or a sealed container to protect it from dust and moisture. Store the fabric in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
