Julian Faraci has one goal: become the most powerful man in the world. He's built a future from broken bones and faded bruises, never caring who he hurt along the way. But when his mentor falls ill, he finds himself on the verge of losing everything, and he'll stop at nothing to inherit what is rightfully his. Even if it means forcing a woman he can't stand into marriage. Yes! Currently, you can read the books in the Never After series for free with your Kindle Unlimited membership. I don't like to see them or read about them and God forbid if I once again encounter one- but I can make an exception for our Isabella here 🙈

A dark contemporary fractured fairy tale reimagining of Aladdin by BookTok sensation Emily McIntire Listen. I love James from Hooked (the first book in this series), but damn Julian you really took the cake with this one. That dirty talk though. I appreciate, however, that there was no grooming on MMC's part. Taboo doesn't scare me off, but it wouldn't have matched Julian's character at all. I’m honestly struggling with this one and I don’t know if how I’m feeling is “oh this book isn’t for me, but it’s for someone else and that’s cool!” and “I actually have a lot of issues with this book and I wouldn’t recommend it.” I want to say that I enjoyed Hooked so much!! I found it to be chaotic and fun, but I found this to be chaotic and make me feel bad. This book caused two things that make me love a book more and as a result, I normally commend a book when it happens.

Also the angst in this book had me dying!! Istg my heart was aching so badly throughout most of the book. It was just so intense, I almost couldn’t handle it!!! Yasmin * muh* ( Jasmine's inspired) is the most relatable character to me, I personally relate to her a lot. She can be annoying to many but I love her! I can relate to her people-pleasing nature and her inner monologue!

Gold Digger: Aiden's only reason for being in a relationship with Yasmin for so long was because of her status as heiress of Sultans, and he had meant to marry her so he could lay claims on her fortunes. I first watched the Animation version of Aladdin and then the movie before I read the book and boy I freaking love it- The references are k!lling me! Personally, I love the movie the most as We can see more depth to Jafer 's character, and why he is what he is. But Nicholas Woodsworth’s real secret is much more dangerous than an alias. He’s an undercover DEA agent, and he’s hell-bent on destroying the drug trade that devastated his family.Emily McIntire is the author of the Never After series. She is also the author of the Sugar Lake series. How Many Books Are in the Never After Series? Yasmin is a brat who speaks out of turn, and he's the villain of her story. But he decides she'll be his―no matter what it takes to convince her. Welcome to Shh... [Smut, Heroes & HEAs], a reader group dedicated to contemporary Romance & Erotica.

Julian Faraci has one goal: become the most powerful man in the world. He ha\'s built a future from broken bones and faded bruises, never caring who he hurt along the way. But when his mentor falls ill, he finds himself on the verge of losing everything, and he'll stop at nothing to inherit what is rightfully his—even if it means forcing a woman he can't stand into marriage. From international bestselling author, Emily McIntire, comes a dark and delicious fractured fairy tale reimagining of The Wizard of Oz.I love how in the end both change for good, Julian finally gets someone who chooses him before anything and anyone, the thing he desires the most and Yasmin finally learns to stand for herself and stop pleasing everyone. Died in Your Arms Tonight: Yasmin's father dies after she arrived to be by his side one last time, finally letting go after hanging on long enough to hear her again. Hostage for MacGuffin: Having figured out the lamp has actually been found, Ian kidnapped Yasmin to force Julian to hand over the lamp in exchange for Yasmin. After Yasmin’s father dies, she texts the lawyer who was going to help her with the divorce and tells him he’s no longer needed. She then discovers the forged will in her name, and she thinks about how Jeannie said that Julian was going to kill her. But then... there's Nicholas. Oh sweet jesus. THE MOUTH ON THAT MAN IS SINFULLY SWEET. He is absolutely filthy and I would be on my knees for him at any time. SUCH A SMOOTH TALKER. AND THE WAAAAAYYYYY HE JUST LOVED EVELINE. AND CREATED A SAFE SPACE FOR HER. GAAAAHHHH!!! I am a certified hoe for Nicholas. He can defile me in any way he wishes. Break my legs, idc sir.
