Built-in Auto service Searches in 10 preset bands: police, fire/emergency, Ham, Marine, Railroad, Civil Air, Military Air, CB Radio, FRS/GMRS/MURS/, and Racing. It's so much better than banks, because I have for example the amateur system, which contains different groups: 70cm repeater, 70cm simplex, 2m repeaters, 2m simplex. When using a scanner you can either use the 'Search' mode where it searches through a range of frequencies until it stops when it finds a transmission for you to listen to, or use the 'Scan' mode where you store specific frequencies into the scanner and it will just scan through these frequencies until it finds a transmission. NEW - Uniden UBC125XLT is a compact 500 channel handheld scanner, frequency coverage from 25-88MHz, 108-174MHz, 225-512MHz and 806-960MHz with 5/6.25/8.33/10/12.5KHz frequency steps.

Receiver– Generally, whether on VHF or UHF bands, the scanner does well as far as pulling in signals is concerned. It also does extremely well in receiving signals from civilian and military air bands without too much interference because of its ability to exclude interfering RF.

Some claim the would power the unit for a few days with extensive usage. Others though are not impressed. The truth lies somewhere in between and depends on how much you use it. start programming from bank 0 it will program and overwrite channels starting from CH001, bank 5 would start from CH251 etc

AOR DV10: at this moment there are no plans to develop software for DV10. We suggest to look at alternatives from Uniden or Icom R30. The new Uniden UBC125XLT is a compact 500 channel handheld scanner, which covers 25-88MHz, 108-174MHz, 225 – 512MHz and 806 – 960MHz with 5/6.25/10/12.5KHz frequency steps. The Uniden Bearcat UBC125XLT is a very popular hand-held scanner for listening to airband transmissions and can be bought for a very reasonable price compared to other scanners. and decide if you want to create an exception in your software. Patch/Bug Fixes for Current Release - read more below Programming the scanner shouldn’t pose any difficulty as the software is quite intuitive and easy to her a grip of. Some users though complain of wasting time getting the drivers to work properly.

if the coverage is wider than the 230's (with mil air) why give us less memory?! Mil air cries out for fast scanning of loads of channels. Seems like it was designed by engineers who don't really scan much. You can have a group as large or as small as you like. If you want to add the 8 PMR446 channels, you don't need to waste a whole bank of 50 just for 8 channels. The Step size will depend on the scanner and some can scan through a list of frequencies using the following steps:- 5, 6.25, 8.33, 10, 12.5, 15, 20, 25, 50, 100kHz. Using the correct Step size will mean that you don't miss any frequencies. Recently the spacing between airband frequencies has been reduced from 25KHz spacing to 8.33KHz spacing so as to increase the number of frequencies available. Therefore your airband scanner should have a step size of 8.33KHz. Audio– The audio is rather excellent with a clear tone. It is loud enough to be heard over traffic noises of you are in a busy area. But a little distortion in audio quality is noticed of the volume is increased all the way up. Just a little mind you.
