the commander pro is better if you plan on having temp sensors in your case. if not then in my opinion the commander core is the better way to go as it does the RGB and PWM in one device. Whether you have a Commander XT or not, you must use the Commander Core with the Elite Capellix series AIO units. Power, control, and RGB is routed through the Commander Core to supply the pump and OLED face plate. This is also why the Com Core comes in every box. The XT is a sibling device, but instead of the AIO power delivery it has an extra LED channel and some temp sensors. In the 5000X, you should have the hardware you need unless you are ready to add RGB strips. Those types of devices require a Pro controllers. The Core controllers only accept fans by default. Install the 4 Intel standoff screws into your motherboard. Make sure all 4 screws are tightened until secure.

Commander CORE XT - HOW TO connect and setup Corsair iCUE Commander CORE XT - HOW TO connect and setup

Finish by connecting the COMMANDER CORE XT to an available SATA power connector from your power supply unit. Each controller will need its own USB 2.0 and own Sata power I presume but as my MB has 2 USB 2.0 ports I will be forced to use USB extender (NZXT or simmilar) as they can not be daisy chained?

Introducing the CORSAIR iCUE COMMANDER CORE XT Smart RGB

From my research it seems I can combine the LL120 and ML120 fans on the included Corsair Commander CORE that comes with the Capellix Elite AIO. Post The weird is, the cooling preset not function at all. the fan attached at commander core XT go to full speed. Q: What about my LED strips? Do I still need to use the iCUE Lighting Node Pro RGB Lighting Controller? Even when I set the fan speed manually using a custom curve to 0% the fans continue to spin at 500-600.I really really don't know what else to do, I could try making a clean install of the operative system but I'm not sure if making all that effort would fix anything, any other ideas? Something else I could try? I read that setting in the BIOS PCIe lanes to Gen 3 could fix the problem, but I don't know what is the impact of that, what's the point of having a PCIe Gen 4 if I have to set it to 3.
